And that is the reason to have your hand guards attached to the triple tree, and not your handle bars... Thats how I have mine too, on my Rally, but that’s only because I can’t find the proper mounting brackets for the triple tree mounts anywhere...

I Seen the triple tree brackets, and they look like they would be a better mounting option

Aside from the suspension being soft on the crf300l, how do you like it compared to drz400?

I would give the edge to the DRZ honestly, The 300 has some nice features and the price was good but with a bunch of upgrades it can be perfect

@@excitebikes2751 These were the two bikes I was looking at the most for my first dualsport. I have the drz400s now and I love it. 20mpg better would be the biggest draw to the crf300l but I did the math and it would take me 15 years of fuel purchase to break even on the price difference between the two to make it worth lol.

@@keldonator they are both good options I think the DRZ is a better option for the power and suspension , the 300 might be a better option for a beginner rider that’s not going to push it too hard off road

@@excitebikes2751 the 300l feels more smooth and refined at 65mph , the drz vibrates more above 60mph , the 300l also feels more precise and manageable on slow single track
