After your review I purchased the red dial version. It’s a very very nice tool watch. Dial color, case finish, hand set, bezel all nicely done as you point out. Wearability is important to me so I appreciate your focus on that in your review. Mine wears nice on my 6.75 in wrist. I was surprised at how much I like the lumed date wheel, especially during the day. The color match is perfect with the indices. A keeper for me.

I noted the case back says monster and it appears to be the more bulbous case back which is used on the monster rather than the flatter and slimmer case back used on other 62mas homages such as Sharkey and Heimdallr. What’s your assessment? Just a warning, if you take this into salt water you might find the spring bars will rust. Mine rusted within 3 days of ocean use despite rinsing in fresh water. Case was fully watertight though.

Aye, it's best to wait, by the V3 they've usually nailed it. I have their Doxa homages both V3, for the money they're great watches (if you don't mind the homage thing) I have a couple of Seiko dive watches that were about £400 a pop, both had the same ghastly fake 3 link bracelets with tinny pressed clasps, so you have to buy a decent bracelet which adds to the cost, same movement of course but forget sapphire crystal and ceramic bezels and lumed date wheels. Sadly both my Seesterns have BGW9 lume which isn't as long lasting as Seiko's excellent Lumibrite, but for value for money Seestern offer exceptional quality and value, both have really nice bracelets and I've had them for a couple of years or longer and they hold up very well.
I am absolutely in love with this, it’s going to be so hard to wait till 11/11. Edit: I did wait till 11/11 I have it now, and it’s fantastic! Can’t stop wearing it!
Same with the crown on mine . It also feels weak . Like it could snap . The rest of the watch is ok . The timing is good . The lume is great . This feels like a real man's watch ! Strong looking .

Hi Jason, Divers are not my favourite style of watch, but I must say this Seestern does look good , the camera angle and the lighting also, big improvement stick with it ... stay safe
I have this one and the silver dialed one. They are fantastic watches. They are both beautiful. The blue one is amazing, beautiful dial, and I like the blue strap. Cool thing is, the straps are quick release. But I like the straps the watches come on the watches, so I’ll keep them on there. Just amazing watches for $200 or less. Really nice 62 mas homages.
pulled the trigger on one for the 11/11 sale got it for $158 and change if you apply your coupons and pay with paypal, and buy on the app got the blue...

That's an absolutely beautiful watch Jason. That sunburst dial is stunning and really suits the strap, the bezel fits in perfectly with it. I have my eye on getting a bronze diver, probably Cronos in the 11/11 sale, but I would love to see a Seestern bronze diver. P.S. According to my missus Seestern translates to Sea Star, but of course we say Star Fish!
This looks like the version 1, where the date is slightly off centre. V2 have fixed this issue with lume also added to the numeric on the bezel. Jason also forgot to mention they got the spelling wrong on the back - SAPPHRE
Got a V3 on Friday... Date-window missalighned... So they dont really fixed this issue... It seems that the whole Dial is slightly rotated to the right side too... QC? No...
Unlucky, I have two Seestern watches both excellent in every respect, should have returned it, if people returned more sub standard pieces they'd take more care
Hi Jason could you please confirm that diameter is really 38mm without crown as I need a small size for my cuff and don’t want to be disappointed if I get 41mm case size
Smaller and lighter watches is the way to go, bigger watches do not get a lot of wrist time from me after the first few weeks. The original 62mas has a significantly bigger acrylic dome. If it can be replicated in the next version (with sapphire of course) then the watch will be perfect.
Well given that my SKX007, which go for quite a bit more these days, not only has a misaligned date wheel, but also a misaligned chapter ring and hour hand, I think I could forgive this little imperfection.
Really like what they’re doing. As a German, I do have a bit of a problem with the brand name though (German for „starfish“), just feels a bit weird somehow having a Chinese brand with a German name. Granted given that they only do divers, it’s fitting 😉 Looking at the lumed date wheel, I’m wondering why Seiko didn’t do exactly that to comply to ISO standards instead of just squeezing that lume next to the date.
62MAS > Doxa Sub > Monster Seestern killed the 62 with the classic dimensions, the sun ray dial and the fully brushed case. I'm ordering an OG grey version to wear casually - this in addition to my everyday wear grey Sinn 104i. A bit redundant? Maybe. But the 104 is 41mm wide and mostly polished. This has a distinctively more laid back vibe, perfect for weekends 🤷🏼

a near perfect diver ,not the usual oversize gaudy offering, the crown would benefit from a multi start thread but i could live with it as is
