Yes, Sony recommends that your M.2 NVMe SSD has a heatsink to prevent the drive from overheating and malfunctioning or even worse, dying prematurely.

My in laws got me a slim for Christmas and I was looking into an SSD but I don't have 400 to spend. What would you suggest for around 125-175?
I got this one from amazon for 130 and it’s the super good so if you would want that I could send you the link
