I love the contrast between Alexis and Krystle here. Krystle is soft-spoken and methodical in her shade, her face hardly painted, while Alexis is BEAT to the highest of snatchocity, her voice and mannerisms a bit more excitable and animated.
The outfit is just SENSATIONAL. One of the best on the show for its entire run! And look at the stark colours of Alexis's makeup, it's like warpaint! One of the most powerful examples of fashion being used to convey character and motivation since Scarlett turned up at Ashley's birthday party in that devastating red gown in 'Gone With the Wind'!

If they tried to act like this the show wouldn't be as good. its a more modern version, and the characters I not really the same. Maybe Blake but other than that its not the same at all really. So I find it unfair to compare them, especially when reboots are never as good. I find the new one rather interesting, their new takes on characters is intriguing and rather entertaining. So please dont compare them, and give them each an equal chance as if they are their own.

It was always delicious when Krystle got an opportunity to rattle Alexis' cage a little. But, man, Alexis and that brilliant outfit, hat, makeup, fur, and jewels ... the ultimate. Glamour with a capital G. And a lot of the fun here is that Krystle is one person in Alexis' orbit who has the villainess figured out, and Alexis is supremely vexed by that (although she tries not to show it). So good.
The iridescent lipstick that was so popular in the 80s through the 90’s no and diamond earrings for daywear no or the stiletto heels. The eyeliner is very 80s however everything else could definitely pass for the 1940s.

It's fascinating how these old shows and movies had no music playing during conversations. It's almost like watching a Stage Play between Joan and Linda acting. It's riveting. You can really focus on their words...and the music only comes in at the very end for dramatic effect. Nowadays, modern movies and TV shows have music blaring 24/7 in the background during speeches on screen!
In the 1980s, simply wearing a hat wasn’t enough; your hat had to have a veil, or feathers, or flower or some other decorative element for that extra pizzazz. Today, people treat ‘conservative’ as a bad word, but Alexis’ look was conservative. Conservative doesn’t mean boring. You don’t have to look like a stripper to be sexy and cool. People have forgotten that.
I loved S2-S4 of Dynasty with these two ramming into each other on the regular like well-dressed tanks. Never knew which one was going to walk away with the win. Krystle didn't just touch a nerve here, she ripped Alexis' spine out and used it to slap the presumptuous smugness right off her face!

Always a distinct pleasure whenever these two ladies had a moment alone together; so cool that we can enjoy their catty exchanges here on RUclips. Half the time, Krystal would get the last word or she would make a droll little insult .... such a hoot. The show had great outfits by Nolan Miller-- eye catching glamorous finery. The hats alone were often scene-stealers. I actually prefer a scene like this, with some nuance and a touch of comedy, to the classic physical brawls (but admittedly they were huge fun, especially that battle in the lily pond).
