I like the way Alexis whispers threats throughout this whole scene! More whispering needed to be done in the series.
What I love about this scene is, as trecherous as Alexis is she loves her children so much that she doesn't reveal to Blake (or anyone) that it wa Adam that poisoned Jeff. I truly believe she called off the merger to protect Adam, not herself.

Even though Alexis is sometimes very mean and very cruel it is only because how she felt she was treated by others. That is no excuse however but she sure is fabulous!

I am sure that later that both Blake and Alexis realized that Adam being kidnapped at birth was really a blessing in disguise.

The fact that Blake actually thought Alexis would poison Jeff of all people is ridiculous. Jeff was like Alexis's son and we all know how much Alexis loves her children.
That does seem a little odd - but Blake is always willing to believe the worst about Alexis.

To be fair Alexis hadn't shown Blake anything that would allow him to believe anything but the worst of her. Jeff might have been in good with Alexis but Blake knew very well how vicious and destructive she could be in getting what she wants. This was a woman who would even spitefully kill a unborn baby out of jealousy so there was nothing that Blake could put past her.

I had a huge crush on Adam when I was a teenager. And I liked the character. Dynasty was not very good at writing subtle personalities and all characters became caricatures of themselves after the 2nd season but Adam remained this tortured boy that was kidnapped as an infant and who struggled with his own personality, feeling unloved and rejected, trying to please one parent by betraying the other one. And Gordon Thomson could play a very good villain with his scary smiles and killing eyes.
He was a babe
And the actor that played him is gay also.
He was hot back then, even if he was an evil turd!

This is obvious - and a soap - but not only did Alexis trust Adam a tad too much regarding the documents but any decent lawyer would say never sign any important documents without reading them first.

I particularly hated the last part of Adam/Kirby storyline where Kirby inexplicably falls in love with Adam after he raped her.

I liked it when the writers still allowed Blake to be cold and tough like this. I know Forsythe wanted Blake de-villified from S1 (and he was right because the series couldn't have gone on very long with him being like that), but after S4 I feel Blake and Krystle had been softened too much.
Yes it gave the show more dramatic edge ,its what it needed .
Alexis does't realize that everyone has a breaking point.When u push a person to far sooner,or later they will push back,and make sure that emotional bruises left.My point Alexis needs to to stop pushing her luck with people.
You would have thought that with so many people plotting against her and even having attempted to kill her out of revenge for the crap she pulled that she would have realized that she needed to be more careful ...but no . Alexis's overt total narcissism in her ridiculous amount of ego and arrogance was always both her strength and her weakness.

What kind of fur is Joan wearing? It looks like she’s hiding 3 small bears in there. Then when she takes it off the dress is a tent that’s not long enough and she’s wearing a weightlifter’s belt. None of it is flattering to her at all. She was usually flawless and stuff like this rarely happened, lol.

Alexis did love Jeff Colby as her own son. Since, Franchesca Colby moved to Europe after Jeff was born.

If my math is correct, mother and son are 12 years apart in age. La Collins was born in 1933, Gordon in 1945. Of course this is television and actors play different ages, but neat trivia.
Correct and it is plausible for a woman to give birth at age 12 - hundreds of years ago, many women had children at that age but of course the life expectancy was much shorter back then. In Hollywood casting there's actually been more implausible casting, possibly even with the actor playing the child being older than the one playing the parent.

this was a ridiculous storyline.. ...they created it for A) the confrontation btwn adam & Alexis..B) a perfect opportunity to showcase alex maternal instinct to protect one of her children.......where the dummies dropped the ball...the showdown was weak....n then when adam finally fesses up blake goes to alexis in an attempt to understand adams actions....he then asks alexis well did you try and help him she says yes i flew to montana there i learned about his drug problem and breakdown......they both feel guilt frm not trying harder to locate him.....but then NOTHING....adam;s action were very serious....he put jeff mental health in jeopardy and fallon's physical health.....in addition, adam is an officer of the court......in follow-up it was clear adam needed mental help and it wld have made more sense as parents that they wld have spoken with him and advised they will not call the police on the condition he seek immediate mental help.....then in s6 more bunk n bull b/c when Blake was clearly ill Adam had him sign a POA that allowed him to transfer D/C assets....dispicable...
It was always so well-acted, which is why Dynasty got away with poor scripts for so long.

At a point the producers decided to create a spin-off(The Colby's) but instead of bringing in dedicated writers to create The Colby's, the fools used the existing Dynasty writers....Collins was furious b/c she believed Dynasty wld suffer n she refused to appear on the Colby's, in hindsight she was proven correct as the Colby's flopped and S6 of Dynasty started the beginning of the end.
@@hardren101 I knew the Colbys would be a flop. It was more America wallowing in sentimentality (if you don't mind me saying so) bringing back Charlton Heston and Barbara Stanwyck.
@@stevebbuk Don't mind at all as you are entitled to your opinion....Had the show been approached correctly with more time devoted to drawing the viewer in, it could have lasted more than 2 seasons...Stanwyck was simply not a good fit n they shld have passed on her.....Also did not help that the cast had 0 chemistry.
