Here in New Mexico USA the weather usually is great on Christmas. 60's (F). I don't have a Land Rover but I appreciate them. I do have a 1977 Jeep CJ7 that I am restoring and daily driving, man I love this thing!
North of sweden, Will be - 15 and snow hopefully. Christmas is cancelled due to covid. I like your voice over and in dept explanation of every detail. And you got some amazing skills bending metals. I hope Father Christmas sees this video and gives you a nice gift 🎁
Hats off to you tackling this rather daunting massive job and just steadily getting on with it. I recently bought my first Land Rover for doing some 4x4 style trips (I'm in Adelaide). My Landy is a 2003 Discovery 2 TD5 auto. I'm very impressed by the car's off-road capability but as with all Landies, there are - as always - some issues which need to be taken care of from time to time. Enjoying your videos!
Am impressed with the bulkhead repair. Might revisit my ‘replace it’ position when I pulled mine off. Good luck with the progress on the rebuild. Am hoping for dry, but know it’ll be raining all December. All the best Mat in the Peak District UK
Well I don’t know about the rest of the southern part of the US or for Louisiana for that matter because all is subject to change in hours here, but generally here in north central part of Louisiana we have hot weather followed by a cool-cold winter. Right now we are around 55-65F degrees during the day and down to 33-40F degrees at night
@@t.h.o.r. that’s close to how we are most years down here in Louisiana, but this year we are colder than normal. Our coldest time of the year is normally around the end of January through mid March. When my dad passed away 5 years ago this past February we had ice about 4-6” inches thick 35 miles south of Shreveport, Louisiana up to Shreveport where my mom was with him at the hospital. Thank God someone invented 4 wheel drive systems for trucks and tires that would hold during Ivey conditions because I drove my dually 4x4 85-95 mph up through the iced over Interstate 🛣. Now my brother he lives in southern Tennessee and he has sent me pictures of a 40’ ft tall waterfall that was frozen solid. Burrrrrrr to cold for this old man when it’s like that
Aluminum ain't gonna rust . Silicone won't take paint. If you are going to do it. You do it after priming and flitting back. I would use the same sealer as I always use. Selley's No More Gaps. It handles 25% movement and is water clean up
@@t.h.o.r. Thanks - I'm building a camper out of aluminium (mostly), so flexibility is paramount I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my noob question.

Wow. That's pretty chrismssdy
It’s amazing to me how you do all this in the open, nice to see old Land Rovers getting a second life.
Haha. Plenty of days off over winter!
Great video. Well here in UK 🇬🇧 Christmas weather. 99% it will be raining cold and dull.
Love watching the innovative approach to this restoration. It'll probably be hot in Oz across the 'ditch' over Christmas.

What type of paint do you use? I assume.e not 2pack by your safety gear.
sometimes 2k sometimes enamel
Seam sealer for aluminium - what do you suggest? A non acetic acid silicone or something else?

Weather is gonna be shit in Wales (UK) mate 👌
It's Christmas in Wales, everyone will be too drunk to notice! Haha.
Rain and lock down probably
It's rumored that here in nz they are gearing up the narrative to keep us all home for Christmas. I can see the build up in hype even now.
