they really decided to use the title of the comedy with different main lead in the series and use it to make the adaptation of the serious one with different main lead. why can't live action directors or producer just stick to the original title of the one they are adapting? now it will be confusing for people who plays the Yakuza game.
Like a dragon has been the original japanese name for the series since the 1st ps2 game. It was renamed yakuza on the west, like Resident Evil/Biohazard situation. Sega then decided to use the LAD name globally a while back
