How long do you think my PR streak will last? Also sorry for the delay, the video was stuck on 360p, and RUclips was "Processing HD" for hours (usually it takes minutes). I eventually reuploaded the video which took forever 😭 to make it all better, please comment telling me I'm the greatest cuber of all time
I love how critical you're thinking about your solves in competition - thanks for sharing this with all of us, it's an inspiration showing how you can check on how to improve but at the same time don't feel bad about it, yeah maybe there are some things you didn't do optimally but you're putting in the effort to determine those "unoptimalities". THANKS
You are the greatest in my eyes. You’ve helped me through some pretty hard stuff (not being able to learn, can not learn algs, and struggling to learn F2L). It’s like you are a good friend who is willing to help everyone.
You’re definitely the greatest! I started learning cfop with your tutorials yesterday and my best time is now 1 minute, thank you so much for your tutorials! Edit: Just got my first sub 30! (Thanks for the likes btw!)

Hi J Perm, this is Ren and I would like to thank you for talking about my 3D-printed cube. It really meant a lot to me. Hope to see you at my next comp.
I KNOW YOU WOULD DP IT! Remember, me? you taught me how to solve a cube, a 2x2 Now, my best solve on 2x2 is 1 minute and 48 seconds. I love you and I’m proud! And I bet the rest of the comment section agrees :D
Hi J perm! I love your videos and I learned a bunch of things from your channel . Now I avg under 50 seconds and use advanced f2l and 2look oll and pll. The cross is the slowest part of my solve. Thank you for your time and thank you for making these videos.
Hi J perm! Thank you so much for your great tutorials! Just got a solve in 36 seconds for the first time (was around one minute when I started learning cfop with your tutorials a couple weeks ago)! You’re the greatest cuber ever! Btw, do you think I can go to a competition yet?
*I hope one day I can fully understand all of what you are saying* :) I learned to solve the 3x3 more than 40 years go, when speed cubing wasn't a thing. A few weeks ago my 6-year-old son showed interest in cubing so I am re-learning while he is learning. He can do the 2x2 in less than 30 seconds, he may start learning the 3x3 soon. Thank you for your videos, they are very helpful! When it comes to RUclips, do you think it makes sense to create a channel documenting our journey? father and son becoming speed cubers? :) Is that something you would watch? Your opinion will mean a lot to me, thank you in advance for taking the time to read this comment, all the best!
Do you think you could make a video of just setting up cubes that you didn't particularly like, or cubes that are good that you just don't fully recommend? I think that would be a great video idea and I feel like a lot of people would enjoy that sort of thing, also great job on the pr!
I'm really, really looking forward to my first ever competition. It's gonna be starting the day after tomorrow and the last few days I've really practiced a lot for it. My main goal is to get a megaminx average which means I have to do 1:30 cutoff time, but I'll probably be able to do that
@@botanicalcubes Thank you very much :) That's my approach too, but for megaminx specifically I don't just want to have an official single, but want to have my average official as well which means I need to gt sub 1:30 however I average about 1:13 so it should be pretty manageble
12:25 thats why im probably not gonna learn 3 style and just practise and be the best i can with orozco because even though i plan to do a lot of blindfolded, i think that i will have to practise a lot if i learn 3 style
Hi J Perm, on your recommendation I bought the Moyu rs3m 2020, and I got my pb within a week, 20.15 seconds. But I had a few questions as well: Can I get a sub 15 with 2 look oll and pll or should I learn all the algs? Also, advanced f2l seems much more difficult when I'm doing the actual solve, because basic f2l is very much in my instincts, so how do I get rid of those?
I got a 17.91 with 2 look, but it's really hard to get lower than that. When you're around that speed, each oll/pll algorithm takes 1.5 ish seconds, so if you have to do ~3 algorithms for last layer, that's almost 5 seconds alone there, so you'd have to do your f2l pretty fast. I'd recommend slowly learning full PLL (it's not as bad as people make it sound), along with picking up as many f2l tips as you can. I'd definitely watch his example solves, and his deconstruction of pro solves
Congrats on your PB! You can get sub-15 with 2-look OLL, but you should definitely learn full PLL. Advanced F2L is super tough, so you'll need to work hard and remind yourself you wont see results right away. If you want to learn it all at once, do lots of untimed solves to relieve pressure. If you want to still do timed solves, only incorporate a bit of advanced F2L at once, until you're comfortable with it, then learn more after.
Guys it’s a joke chill, I genuinely appreciate him for teaching me and millions of others how to cube. It’s just that most early compliments just compliment the RUclipsr instead of commenting something that actually has to do with the vid.
I used to average 38 seconds with beginner than i decided to learn some important cfop algs and now i average 25 Also a huge step of averaging 25 secs is learning cross, oll: only edges, j perm, u perm only these algs helped me get 25 hope this helps

In most cases ZBLL is actually slower than O(C)LL-PLL, even without messing up: You have an edge-oriented OLL, i.e. 1 of 7 OCLLs, so recognition is instant/within lookahead-time and except for Pi, the execution is extremely fast. Then, PLL recognition is also instant, unlike ZBLL-recog., and the *average* ZBLL-execution takes way longer than the *average* PLL execution. PLL algs are pretty much in a global minimum meanwhile, since people had to "streamline" only 21 algs and it still took many years - for the 472 ZBLL algs, it will take probably more than a hundred years to get all of the algs to the state of current PLL. But execution will still take significantly longer, simply because the average move-count will always be a lot higher. Also, even after many years of intense practice, you just can't recognize ZBLL instantly, it just doesn't work (I'm doing only ZZLL (160 algs) and it's never as fast as my PLL-recog). For H-cases, you even need 4-sided recognition (!).
