I'm doing my CBT in a couple of weeks as soon as my provisional license arrives, thank you for the video, it was really helpful to get an idea of what to expect!
Glad it was helpful! Good luck, with the CBT, you've got this!
Good luck, i hope that you do well.
Did u pass bro 💯
HEY :) I'm from Birmingham, about to to my CBT in august. Thank you for this video, it helped a lot.
Hey! Glad you found the video useful, and good luck with your CBT. Hope it's the first step to a great biking career! Happy and safe riding 🏍
Great advise thank you for putting my mind at ease : )
good luck bud! 🏍
Great video mate, I am going to my CBT this year and then get a WR
Thanks Kieran! and nice one, good luck!
I just passed mine on monday was so much fun cant wait to get my cb125r in mat blue
Congrats Stuart!! I was exactly the same, as soon as I passed I ordered my first motorcycle within a few days 😂 You'll have great fun with it. The blue ones look v nice 🏍
Thank you for the information, I'm doing my cbt on 24th may in Manchester, I am 57 never been on a bike before, was thinking of a gear bike but may do an automatic 125
Hi how did you get on? Hope you are enjoying riding. Thanks for watching / commenting!
I have my cbt tomorrow and I’ve never been on a geared bike 🤣 absolutely shitting it tbh but I’m trying to get all the homework in beforehand like learning Highway Code and stuff
😂 You've got this! Instructor's job is to help you relax and teach you all you need to be able to ride safely - good luck 🏍
I have been watching a lot of videos.. and it seems people are forgetting them life savers. And follow distances.. gives me anxiety. We all have to stay safe. Also I have full A unrestricted. Saving for a triumph street triple 675.
Nice Gogeta! Congrats on your full A licence. Triumph will be great. And so true, lifesavers and a good amount of breaking distance are essential!
i've got my cbt tomorrow morning and i am SO nervous ... but this has helped remind me it's also a learning experience 😅
you've got this! 🏍
how did it go i’ve got mine on tuesday, how long would you say the initial briefing is
@roxyfawcett6621 did you pass first time mate
@@ConfusedAlien-th1ls yep :) with no faults
@emmadelaroue6715 well done! Im nervous I have mine tomorrow morning. I've never sat on a motor bike in my life 😓
Thanks fella very helpful. I'm looking to do my CBT soon and wasn't sure what to expect. I really like the look of the cb125r How are you finding the bike ? Do you crave something bigger yet ? I'm not sure if I should stick at the CBT and get the 125 your a year or 2 or go straight in for my A2 license and get a restricted cb650r.
hi mate, thanks for the comment, glad you liked the video. I love the bike, it's a really good quality build and has great handling, would recommend! Big fan of the engine sound as well. I do crave a bigger engine tbh but still have a lot of fun with 125cc. Safest thing would prob be to stick with a 125 for a while while learning then move up to bigger engine. Good luck with your CBT!
@@artistaradventures thanks mate yeah I can see me getting the 125 and learn on it for a while. It looks like way too much fun. What's it like in the wet I've seen conflicting opinions
you won't regret it, it's great fun. I've driven it a couple times in the rain and the handling has felt fine to me although I did take it pretty slow 😂
Cant wait to ride my new ktm rc 125cc
great to hear! I was exactly the same with my Honda CB125R. Happy and safe riding! 🏍
I keep hearing people say they test you on your Highway Code knowledge. But there’s SO much to remember, like when is enough?
They dont "test" you on that. Its more they want to know how much you know. Most are self explantory. They will go over road signs and what they mean. If you do want to learn road signs though the "DVLA" app is good. If not i wouldent worry to much they will help you😊
Yeah I can't remember there being a specific test or even that many questions :) a big thing they spent a lot of time on when I did it was lane positioning.
Passed my CBT and got my bike just need some tips as a new rider
nice one! I'll make a video on tips when the weathers a bit better :) 🏍
Actually crazy watched this couple months ago done my Cbt last Saturday and passed looking for a bike now 😀
Congrats Kelz! You won't regret Honda CB125R, so fun to ride 😄 lot's of great options out there though. Yamaha MT-125 is nice too 🏍
I passed my cbt a year ago and got myself a Zontes 125 the weight is 150kg. I rode it the first time around the park its just remembering the muscle memory again. Where can I get your jacket? it looks nice.
nice! I've not tried one of those, what are your thoughts on the bike? 🏍 I think I got the jacket from 'Sports Bike Shop ', if I manage to find it I'll post the link :) I think they have a few green ones like this one
@@artistaradventures yea they have a nice aggressive naked bike look to it, the body looks like a 500 instead of a 125, it rides well nice power but not too much. Im able to nearly flat foot it despite being 5'7. Thanks man i'll check the store out.
What jacket have is that you had for the cbt?
It's the Spada Air Force One jacket 👍 Great summer jacket. Happy riding!
Tried my CBT and was too bloody light to get the centre stand down! Lot of fun but scary lol
oh man - did they not give you the certificate for that? There are def some scary bits when you first start riding 😅
@@artistaradventures naw I was super nervous and obviously wasn’t ready for the road aha. Back again soon tho aha, sick vid mate 👍
@Scrimblescromble - you'll get it on the next one, it's a great feeling when you get to go out on your own - good luck for the next one :D 🏍️
Bro how can I book the cbt test
Hi man, you'll need to have a look for a motorcycle school near you and book with them. They carry out the course and will give you a certificate at the end of the day once completed, hope that helps!
I've got my cbt on Monday and I'm scared I'm going to forget what I've learned and fail
You've got this Leah! Just try to take it all slowly and follow the instructors advice and I'm sure you'll get the certificate 🏍
I have my cbt tomorrow and I'm shitting it 😂
hope it went well and you're now out on the road! 🤞
It did thank you and nowp and now on the road!
I’m nervous asf not gonna lie
you've got this! Try not to rush and take time to listen to the instructors then you'll be fine - It's worth it when you're able to get out on the road and start your biking career, good luck 🏍
Didn't know you could use the automatic to drive a manual I've booked straight to 125cc manual oops
I'm sure you'll be fine on manual, the instructor should talk you through how it all works - good luck and happy riding 🏍
Do I need to know how to ride a bike or they teach you?I never ride a bike
They teach you. I went with no prior expearnce but it helps if you have passed your driving. But if youve not dont worry its verrg simple just some people need alot more time to learn but honstley dont worry if you cant
Thanks for watching commenting! They'll teach you, you will probably need a bit more time to learn but you'll get there, and it's worth it!
The problem is the price of the bikes idk what to get I just want to ride
I'm a big fan of my Honda cb215r, also like the Yamaha MT 125. Both good quality bikes and fun to ride 🏍️
I always thought if you learned on an automatic you can only ride auto. If you learn on a manual you can ride both. Atleast thats how it is for cars.
yep it's a bit of a strange one 🏍
if you want to ride geared bike you have to take cbt on a geared bike if you passed on a automatic moped then bought a geared bike then your licence is invalid
Yup, idk what hes on about with that🤡😂
'One thing to note - whatever you do your CBT on whether it's a manual or an automatic you are able to ride either gearbox once you have received your CBT certificate.' www.rideto.com/blog/should-I-learn-auto-manual
@artistaradventures i got a convertible now so really dont care to debate it with you all i know is if you pass cbt on automatic then get a geard bike yu have to re take test on geard bike 🏍 i also do have a ktm rc for fun 😎
my cbt is in two weeks and im kinda petrified lol
haha that's totally normal - as long as you take onboard what the instructor is saying and take things slow you'll be fine - good luck! 🤞
My teacher failed me because I was doing 20 in a 30ph road and waiting for for people who aren’t there at a round about
oh man that's rough - You'll get it on the next one 🏍
Did my cbt 2 months ago and wow what a piece of piss it was 😂
glad it all went well mate! Just shows there's no need to overthink it 😄
@@artistaradventures I think that's the problem, eveyone does overthink it because there is so much hanging in the balance, like your CBT costs £170 new bike £2000 plus insurance upto £1000 then there is your helmet and clothing ect.
I'm just worried about roundabouts...
they only get easier! some tips would be to prep for the roundabout as early as possible; make sure you're going the right speed and changed into the right gear, and start looking early to see if you can enter roundabout. If a cars are going straight over from the opposite direction, they should block off traffic from the right and it should be safe to go. Good luck with your CBT!
@@artistaradventures thank you, I'm currently healing from a neck laceration I had on 1st August, I thought I'd have to wait months to heal but I really wanna get on the road, get my CBT done and then try get a lexmoto lxr SE on finance which I'm hoping I can afford I'm getting around 750 at the moment and I've heard it's not as much to run like a car
get well soon bud! Yeah there's still some costs like service / insurance etc but lower than car definitely.
@@artistaradventures thank you
It's not a test if you have a good instructor he will learn you to ride C B.TRAINING NOT TEST ENJOY YOUR DAY YOU WILL LOVE IT
It’s not a test. Maybe you should check up what it’s about before attending.
Thanks for commenting and sharing your opinion here, happy riding 🏍️
@artistaradventures very cordial. Thanks for the video it's really helpful. It is true you can fail a CBT or it can be extended if the target is not met on the day. Mine is booked for the 3rd. Any advice for a semi-pro cyclist with 13 years of car experience?
@@fabioa.5490 great to hear you enjoyed the vid!
You will be absolutely fine with that experience, the main pitfalls are if someones never been on a bike or doesn't have knowledge of the highway code etc.
Only tip I'd say is don't be afraid to take your time when learning it all, there's no rush so the more slow / relaxed you can be the better it will go.
Once you get your CBT and then go out on your first ride it's such a great feeling, totally worth it! Good luck with it al
@@artistaradventures thanks for this. I'm only doing the cbt so I can get the full A. The advice is great, I'll keep you posted
You cannot ride a geared bike if you pass on an automatic!!
You're right for full licence, for CBT it's different:
'One thing to note - whatever you do your CBT on whether it's a manual or an automatic you are able to ride either gearbox once you have received your CBT certificate.' www.rideto.com/blog/should-I-learn-auto-manual
@@artistaradventuresgotta love licensing rules in the UK haven’t you 😂
@@robreed4212 it's actually crazy tbh 😂
