This is what the PC-12 is made for! And I might add that Idaho Aeronautics does a fantastic job operating and maintaining their backcountry strips. Got to know the director and staff well during my career.
That's a greaser! Didn't even notice you touched down until the nose gear came down. Crazy approach. What are the stipulations for landing here? Specific weather requirements, etc
The airport is at the base of a four-sided valley so flying high above terrain on downwind would place you too high on final. The PC-12 decelerates very well in a steep descent but slipping does not tend to help much in this aircraft (and can be unsettling for passengers). This overhead pattern is recommended at this airport but another possible approach would be to fly low up the river valley from the North and land straight in. However, that method adds some risk for a midair collision.

That landing strip looks one hell of a lot bigger on the ground compared to in the air!
That's LEGIT! Nice landing... !!
Wow, just wow. Wish I had friends with toys like these. :(

Probably class G
Ce n'est pas possible. C'est magique.
What a gorgeous location - not that the pilot would be able to notice……..😂
Wow MSFS 2024 looks awesome!
Instead of flying that low on downwind and base, wouldn’t it be better to just forward slip on the final to loose altitude?

@@benhochman740 I meant a forward slip, but side slip
@@mianatwoodagain no! Beta is much more productive than slipping.

Not exactly my first choice for a camp site
Oh my god! This airfield has the size of an international airport!!! A Boeing can land there
Nice sim.
