I had the opportunity to put 8 hours on this type of aircraft and I loved it, it is very versatile, powerful, stable, comfortable, pilots cabin very roomy as it is for passengers in the back, the luggage compartment is great. I love this airplane.
Pretty insane I've seen a Cessna 172 with a longer takeoff and landing roll than that thing. Pilatus and TBM definitely one of my "if I were rich" airplanes.
Beautiful plane, but it was no surprise to me that it was able to take off on a short runway like that. You have a powerful engine, variable-pitch prop and a light plane. Cool video!
If I were doing this demo, I would have no passengers or bags. I would have absolute minimum fuel. Takeoff and landing distances are dependent on aircraft weight. The aircraft we are seeing probably has enough fuel to take off and land with little reserve. .
Watching your videos is rewarding. Your travels etc., and all the short and rough fields that you go in & out of. Your plane sure takes it. The PC-12 was designed for that and that's what sold me on the PC-12.
Love the location, the storage place of the aircraft, and wondered where he was going when he started on ramp up..but that aircraft is completely amazing! To takeoff and land at that strip, all in a beautiful comfortable very capable plane, is just mind blowing!

The best big turbine single! Love the underground hangar and steep taxi way to the grass strip. Very unique, and a perfect location for a Pilatus PC-12 to live!
@@bauTom the f**k are you going on about? I made a simple joke. It seems most people understood that. You're either an idiot, a child or a troll. Which is it?
Used in Australia by the Flying Doctor service to provide medical care and evacuations to outback properties. They often land on graded tracks that pass as roads here in Australia. Also used by some regional airlines for local commuter runs to small country air strips.
Michael, that video is very limited in explaining the workings, and does not even explain that the burning of fuel vastly increase the volume of the exit gas compared to the volume of in going air, thereby creating the thrust. Also to get the fuel to burn it must first be ignited and a turbine engine does indeed use igniters (or spark plugs) as Tevin said. It is not used to sustain burning but sure is needed to start the process.
Suck squeeze bang blow. The PC-12 uses a turboprop and as any other turbine engine ignites the fuel/air mixture in the combustion chamber with igniters. Turbine engines even have multiple igniters which are used during the critical flight phases (take-off, landing, or even during abnormal situations e.g. severe turbulence) to prevent a flame-out. During cruise igniters often aren't used
