Man, you have no idea how much i apreciate you for posting this video. I thought my crv transmission was done. I did exactly what u did here plus flushed the tranny fluid and is back running strong. Thanks a million 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Spray some contact cleaner in your drivers side seatbelt buckle then blow it out with air to get your seatbelt and air bag light to go off. There a switch inside there. Hope this helps you.
Could this be my problem My Honda pops out of gear to neutral I have to turn the key off wait for a bit and then it will go back into gear and run for a bit then pop out again
Hello.. Sorry for my bad english.. Can anyone help.. I want to know whether the DUAL LINEAR SOLENOID of 8th gen 2.4L accord automatic can be used on a 7th gen 2.4L accord automatic? My 7th gen accord 2.4L automatic is having shift delay when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear and it also slips when shifting, it only shifts when i let of the throttle, but it shifts fine when shifting to other gears without letting off the throttle.. Because these 7th gens are rare here their spare parts are not easily available in the used spare part market but the spare parts of 8th gen accord are available. Note: the part number of the DUAL LINEAR SOLENOID of both 8th gen and 7th gen 2.4L accords are different but they appear the same.. Please anyone help me...
hey at 3:05 on your video those 4x screens cleaning those screens you mean by using a air pressure and blow some air inside it's that how you mean by cleaning it, also for the big gasket scrape it off remove the old gasket seating on the tranny and later put the new gasket on the solenoid any type of seal gel, cream, paste or anything needs to be apply for the gasket or just the gasket alone only and torque down the solenoid bolts to a 7 lb or 8 lbs of torque to each one of them? just double checking on those questions. those part honda part numbers are the same exact part number for a 2005 Honda CRV Automatic AWD .. the CRV I have is a AWD 4wd.. has to be the same solenoid part# for the automatic CRV that I have.
Da Wolf Yes you can use shop air to clean the screen or brake cleaner. Just make sure if you use a chemical solvent to ensure that it is nice and dry before reinstalling. Also no sealant needed for the gasket. Let the gasket do it’s job. Hope this helps.
That Dude The Mechanic , hey you think I can use the brake cleaner sprayer that might help clean the pipes inside, i think might be safer cus evaporates very quickly.. and wont contaminate the pipes.
I got the same issue on the car, i just cleaned the selenoid and put it back but didnt work, if cleaning the selenoid dont work, i will definitely need a new part right?
My transmission have this jerking motion whenever I try to shift from N to D or when I slowing down & the gearbox is trying to get into 1st gear. Does this mean the pressure solenoid is the issue? But shifting into any gears besides the 1st are smooth tho. Just the 1st have this strong jerking motion.
Contacted ATG & done these...and it worked very well 1. Cut bicycle inner tube, scalpel to cut & apply Copper Silicone on both side for gasket 2. O-ring from Harbor Freight & apply Copper Silicone www.amazon.com/Permatex-81878-Maximum-Temperature-Silicone/dp/B0002UEOPA www.harborfreight.com/397-piece-metric-o-ring-assortment-67580.html?_br_psugg_q=o+ring ATG tips: A hole punch & a very sharp scalpel to cut and trip. A. Cut the tube or buy gasket maker and apply a light coat of bright colored silicone on 1 side B. Now, press it on the solenoid (silicone) & remove. You've now made a traced & easy to cut C. 2nd options, apply a smooth coat of Copper Silicone on the dry/clean surface of solenoid

That such teacher, hey I need your help, I have a Honda 2004 crv marks me these codes P0795 and P0845, the problem that gives me is that it blinks in D and pulls with third, I stop altogether and I continue my march again and it Remove but immediately when it reaches the top it is blocked again, do you think it is necessary to replace the solenoids?
as per honda specs, 3-10 ohms. also, put batty voltage on both solenoids, and pay attention for a lively clicking noise. If your resistance is within specs, and clicking is loud, try cleaning the 4 pipes with brake clean, and the housing itself, and do an AT flush after it. I can't justify spending 365 dollars on a solenoid that can be cleaned out. just my 2 c.
I dd the same, tried to torque to 8.7 but couldn't get enough torque. Aluminum strips so easy. I have no idea how this happened since I didn't over torque. Now I'll have to repair the threads. JB weld can only get 5ft lbs so I may have to recoil them. What a pain in the neck.
I just purchased a 06 Honda CR-V and when I push the accelerator for a quick acceleration the vehicle studders and also does this when on the interstate shifting into a higher gear. Usually around 65-70 mph. So I’m guessing 4th gear. Have you came across this problem and what did you do to fix it?
Okay good video but what was the reason you changed that cylinoid because my car gave me the same code and I'm thinking that is probably the same problem you had my car when it was cold will give me problems to shift gears and once it got warm it drove perfectly fine is that the cause because if so I'm changing this piece today

Can you help me ? How do you flush a transmission . I am a complete novice mechanic . Trying to fix my daughters beater 08 Accord .
@@georgeelmerdenbrough6906DONT flush. On older cars its safer to just drain & fill
Finally, someone that doesn’t call it a shift solenoid 😄👍👍👍
Pls that happens if you accidentally didn't replace one of those stainless little pipes you referred to as "these guys"?

Can you do the removal of the solenoid without having to drain the transmission fluid?
Looks super easy man thanks for the video. I was having rough shifts from 1st to 2nd.
Having the same problem were you able to fix it. What did you do?
@@avinashbalkissur979 yup, I just copied everything he did. I fixed the issue but ended up getting rid of the car for a Corolla

I'd change your fluids in your transmission first then evaluate from there....
What was the reason? Did you ever find out,? Mine did the same thing , now it dies whenever you let off brake to push gas, it sputters then dies.
Part number for the soleniod bro. Can you share? 😊😊
