    The Range looks super low compared to the EPA shared by Ford at 247 miles for 100% Battery. At 87%, this is ranging at 110 miles. Does the weather affects it that much? How cold was it during the video shoot?

    I hate when they have only glass roofs on EVs. I’m glad that it’s optional on the Mach E and the VW ID4 because there’s been incidents where glass roofs break and costing customers money. Replace these glass roofs ain’t cheap especially on a Tesla since they don’t sell you parts. Your only option is to get it done at a Tesla service center or buy it used that came off a totaled car.

      If the car hasn't been driven much the SOC "guess-o-meter" hasn't had time to calibrate. It will read low intentionally for the sake of being conservative.

    • @fusionvic
      @fusionvic Год назад

      Yes it's the 70 kWh standard battery, no extended range available on the Select. If it is AWD then it is 4587 lb (about the same weight as an Edge) so there's a lot of weight to haul around. Highway only range is going to suck big time.

      Not on the non GTs. I have a select and it is nowhere near the power of my 2012 Camaro ss. I'd say the non GT models would get bested by just about any turbo 4cyl or a v6 or bigger. The non GTs have 266hp. They should at least be 350- 400. The GTs should be about 500-600. The only advantage the mach e and all electric cars have is they don't loose time from shifts since they use single speed motors.

Now I know that could seem petty but I feel like there's a lot of little things like that going on not just with Electric really, a lot of these new vehicles that have been coming out the last few years it seems like Quality Control issues.

    The Mach-E Select AWD curb weight is listed at 4587 lb, and only has 266 hp. The sluggish performance is good enough for grocery getting. You won't be gapping base model Explorers.
    The GT Performance is too slow in my opinion. The bulk of the accel is in the first 5 seconds from a dig. The Select starts off with less power as it is. It should feel fine going from Point A to Point B, but take it on the freeway and it will be a different story.
