What is “HiFi” mean in switches? Is it clacky? Creamy? Thocky? I’ve read some description from aliexpress that it is “majong” sound. Butt there’s no info from Google. Can someone please shed some light? 🙏
The white samurais look like a pretty decent competitor for the akko cream v3 switches. Not sure if I'd like that ultra low travel like you mentioned but for 25 cents per it might be worth getting used to!
Standard Grain Gold switches are even cheaper (beating Outemu, HaiMu and Huano) where Gold Pink has 13.5 mm dustproof stem, housing is identical to G-Square and Duhuk/Lumia/Kelowna switches. Interesting manufacturer, new material blends, customizability, very precise markings for example underside the stem and they're easy to identify.
I still don’t understand why, in 2023, the only long-pole switches that still have 4.0mm of travel are the NK Creams and Durock POM’s. Like why can’t other manu’s adopt a deeper hole in the bottom housing to keep the best of both worlds (long-pole sound and feel with full travel)?
There are other switches that are like that. Kaysia I think that’s how you spell it, the Hanami dango’s that just came out are also like that. Some just don’t like regular length lol
KTT roses have 4mm travel and at $0.27 a switch it honestly can't get better than that. It even has the 63.5g spring which is a common spring weight people prefer.
Like TofuTypes said, JWK condenser molds are close to 4 mm (3.7 - 3.8 mm comparable to short pole JWK), JWK winglatches have 3.9 mm of total travel. Durock POM has P3 stem which doesn't reach 4 mm but there's interesting JWK Midnight with shortened LY stem and longer travel.
your envoy is insanely pingy, makes me question what mode-affiliated content creators are doing to their audio capture that makes the envoy sound good...
@@notSchnee there is no universe in which you listened to that sound test and didn't hear ping.. unless you're typing on a keychron rn then that would check out
Brother I was looking forward to the keyboard grab 😢 Still a great video. Actually makes me want to check out the V Ones tbh lol

Only og nk cream have full travel, kailh had changed the mold in late 2021 making the nk cream's stem nowaday even longer than the old counter part
Weird that you were so thrown off by the travel when BCPs are 2.9-3.1mm travel
My keyboard is missing a key... Theres no escape. 😂☕
My keyboard is missing a key... my dad left us when I was 14
