The castle looks to be in good shape for one that has been under seige over the years. Ah, I see that his has been repaired and rebuilt several times.
    Thanks for sharing.

Yes many times I think with some work done a few years ago now. Ireland has many castle ruins in various states of repair. We love the small ones and could have stayed weeks longer looking for them.

Dude! Those narrow roads are scary!!
I love that little castle! It's neat that you have a family history to it.

Yes it was fun finding the family link to the castle and yes those roads do take a bit of getting used to 🙂

Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad you liked the video. Yes a very human scale. We find the smaller castles so interesting because of this.

Extremely interesting as always. I had no idea that you had control of the castle..... Lol. I have certainly visited a fair while ago and can imagine thousands of Irish tower houses looking very similar back in the 15th/16th Centuries.

Yes there are a lot of great castles around. Rather glad I wasn't in control as the cannon were firing 🙂. We had a great time. All of Ireland is so beautiful and interesting.

A very enjoyable video. Watched on TV while having morning coffee.
Is a 360 camera new for you?
I didn't know the Irish had a different language. I just thought they talked differently.

Thanks, we watch them at breakfast too 🙂 We know about 360 cameras and have seen your 360 footage but we don't have a 360 camera. Amost all Irish people can speak English but many have strong regional accents. I believe over on the west there are more people who can speak Gaeilge.
