I've really enjoyed watching your walk. You've done such a good job in filming and commentary. I've got the Trailblazer Guide (as I've booked the walk for next year) and I can follow where you are on all the maps, which is a testament to how well you produced your series. And the inclusion of the places you stayed and visited for lunch/dinner etc is really helpful, and gives a greater appreciation of what the area has to offer. It's a shame you hurt your back, Rick. I hope it hasn't had any lasting effects. Well done on your achievement and this video series... it's not a simple thing to get right. 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed the series. Thanks for. commenting it's appreciated. My back is ok and after some weeks of physio is no longer giving me problems. I am sure you will have a great walk next year.
He either slipped on the muddy path or had a heart attack/stroke. Either way he fell flat on his face. American guy on his own doing the CW north to south, possibly the same package you used, or similar. He’d been looking at the guide book before he fell, it appeared.
I think I’d already passed him in the opposite direction and said ‘hello’ to him that morning. I was walking both directions as I had parked at the Tower.
Very enjoyable. Nicely filmed and narrated too. At 1033 I saw a Marmalade Hoverfly which like other hoverflies are important pollinators alongside bees. You also saw a good range of butterflies which was nice to see. Thank you.
Loved this video. I've been to many of those areas and as my fiance has a home on the edge of the Cotswolds, I hope to be walking those trails often. You are a lovely couple. Looking forward to the next video.
What fun! Planning a trip for next year. Are you currently on trail or was this a bit earlier this Spring? Happy walking and looking forward to the next installment!
We had a major problem along the way as you will see in an upcoming episode. We are returning to the Cotswalds in 6 weeks time to complete the walk. We are sure you will have a great time next year. Best of luck with your walk.
Love that you are geocaching as well!
Yes it's fun to do as we walk. Only get a few as time can be a problem at the speed we walk 🙂.

Thanks the other half will be coming in a few months time as we have returned to complete the walk.
The answer to your question about the black topped structure next to the style is, yes, it is to allow dogs through. Lovely film.
Thanks for the information. Glad you like it.

Thanks, glad you liked it. We have seen many interesting walks in Spain you should have some good choices.
Seeing all of that grain makes me want to do the "Gladiator Thing" (running hand over the top of the grain). :P
Cool looking butterflies.
Yes I know what you mean, love that movie. We will be in Tuscany in a few months time I must remember to do that if I see a field 🙂
@@GeoRick DO IT! :)
49:26 : New gate. I remember that part of the CW very well as I stumbled upon a dead hiker at the bend on the track 11 years ago.
That must have been a terrible shock. Do you know what had happened?

Very sad. You just don't know when you time is up.
We carry a locator beacon in case we are in trouble but sounds like that wouldn't have helped him.
Good luck w with this hike!! Defintely will be following along
Thanks, hope you enjoy the hike.
You must have been so tired after your first day of walking. Gorgeous scenery. Thanks for bringing us along.
Yes was very tired. Lucky we had a bath to soak our tired legs in 🙂

Thanks, yes it's a very beautiful place to walk.

Blackberries are an autumn fruit, ripe around early September.
We will have to try walking in September sometime. Thanks for the information.
Yes, that lift up part of the stile is for dogs
Thanks, we were a little puzzled by it at first.
Always walk on the other side of the road facing traffic rather than back to the traffic.
Yes that's the best on country roads.
I am enjoying your walk along the CW. It is great to watch and listen to your good natured banter, information and obvious love of nature and animals.
Thanks Anthony glad you are enjoying them.
Wow had to break this up for 2 days lol
Yes it's the longest we have made the ones that follow are a little shorter.
