I'm very much enjoying your walk along the Cotswold Way. I think your videos really capture the essence of the area and I appreciate all the historic details that you give. I walked it myself over forty years ago, but being young, I didn't pay too much attention to the history that was all around me. I look forward to the next instalment and hope the weather improves for you.
@@GeoRick To be honest, I remember very little of the walk itself but I suspect very little has changed in the intervening years. I believe the area is heavily regulated when it comes to building plans.
Thank you for taking me along with you through the Cotswolds! 🙂 Much easier for me sitting on my comfy recliner here in South Australia! 😄 Are you taking a couple of days break in between the walks? I'm 74 & only walk about 5kms a day - I don't know how you do it!! Thanks again!! 🙂🙂🙂
The large flowers you've been noticing are Hollyhocks, genus Alcea. Very commonly grown in the Cotswolds and the rest of Gloucestershire, I grow them myself.
No group, we are walking on our own. A company called Macs Adventure prebooked our accomodation in each village. They also arranged to take our bags from village to village so we only have to carry a day pack. They also provided an off lline map and information booklet. Also a 24hr help line if we need assistance.
A great way to walk, allowing enough time to enjoy everything around you. And finding some geocaches along the way!
Yes it's so much better when you take all day to get to your destination and let time just slip past.
Your two are both insperatiinal keep up the good work, love your videos xx
Thanks appreciate your comments.
I'm a little behind but catching up. Just like I would have been if I were with you two.😂 Always a great adventure.
🙂 glad you liked it.
So much history. So many great views. Thanks for bringing us along again.
Glad you are enjoying the walk. Yes beautiful views and places to explore.

Glad you like the walk. I wonder how many changes you see from forty years ago. The villages look as though they have not changed in centuries.

Yes we have Day 0s planned to give us a break especially after the longer harder days. Thanks for commenting.
Well I’m on day 2 walking, at the end of the walking . I will watch your warm up walks in New Zealand I have a feeling the countryside is similar?
There are places that look similar but the villages are very, very different, We love the contrast. Thanks again for commenting.

Thanks, good to know. They looked wonderful.
Fabulous! Thank you for sharing.
Glad you liked it and thanks for commenting.
what month did you walk?
We were walking in July.
You're not going as part of a group? Do you have a place to stay already booked each day?

@@GeoRick That's really neat.
Much easier to lift the latch rather than pull the lever on the gates you pass through!
Yes it's a good way of opening a gate. Some are definately easier than others.
