When I was in college 28 years ago, I was acquainted with a Kazakh woman who was a roommate of a member of our Christian student group. She sometimes played keyboard with the worship team and often joined us in other activities like wallyball every Friday night. She once told me that she wanted to become a Christian but was too afraid of her family disowning her. That gave me a sobering perspective on how courageous people in Muslim countries must be to accept Christ and be persecuted daily.
Dude fr. Women are looked down on there so it's a miserable thing to accept Jesus Christ in the middle east as a Muslim raised woman. You already have zero human rights and to add being neglected and beheaded shamefully for accepting Jesus Christ. Praise God we are not out to shame but they don't have much education or time to understand why we don't need to worry. It takes the equivalent of being hunted down like prey to follow Jesus Christ in Muslim communities
Luke 9:24 - " For whoever will save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for My sake will save it." I pray for these courageous people who turn to the truth. It breaks my heart that this is the trade off for many Muslims that leave Islam. Jesus forewarned us all that in this life we will have tribulation and be persecuted for our faith. Islam and Christianity are fundamentally the same. They are both the Abrahamic faith. The only difference is Christians worship Jesus as Divine GOD. In Islam we accept Jesus as a mighty Messenger of GOD. It makes no sense for a Christian to quarrel with the Muslims. You should Quarrel the Jews. They rejected Jesus and Persecuted him. So when I was in school a couple exchanged students from China were in my class and I shared with them the word of God and our saviour Jesus Christ. The following day they asked for a Bible and then they asked to join me in church service. This was 17years ago and I see their updates on FB and they are now devoted Christians

Thank you for pointing this truth out brother. So many today and probably in the past mis the true agony of the Cross. Yes it was a terrible and painful way to die, so far the worst in history, but just think of the love of God and how Jesus had never been separated from that perfect love and fellowship with the Father and Spirit before. He had always existed eternally in the God Head with that perfect love washing over and through Him. Then on the Cross the Father had to take a step back because we know He can not even be in the presence of sin without utterly destroying it. That is not saying that at any time Jesus lost His divine Sonship or in anyway laid aside His nature as God but He did feel the most painful separation and loneliness so much so we can not even imagine it. The Perfect Son of God, God Himself did all that for us to be able to once again fellowship with His creation. Kind of gives a whole new meaning to God is Good. God Bless...
Stories like these make me so grateful that God blessed me with an already Christian family. There were no hurdles to overcome to be accepted. My parents lovingly raised me in the faith, and by the grace of God, we're even able to afford me a Christian education. When I was in college 28 years ago, I was acquainted with a Kazakh woman who was a roommate of a member of our Christian student group. She sometimes played keyboard with the worship team and often joined us in other activities like wallyball every Friday night. She once told me that she wanted to become a Christian but was too afraid of her family disowning her. That gave me a sobering perspective on how courageous people in Muslim countries must be to accept Christ and be persecuted daily.

You already have zero human rights and to add being neglected and beheaded shamefully for accepting Jesus Christ. Thank you for pointing this truth out brother. So many today and probably in the past mis the true agony of the Cross. Yes it was a terrible and painful way to die, so far the worst in history, but just think of the love of God and how Jesus had never been separated from that perfect love and fellowship with the Father and Spirit before. He had always existed eternally in the God Head with that perfect love washing over and through Him. Then on the Cross the Father had to take a step back because we know He can not even be in the presence of sin without utterly destroying it. That is not saying that at any time Jesus lost His divine Sonship or in anyway laid aside His nature as God but He did feel the most painful separation and loneliness so much so we can not even imagine it. The Perfect Son of God, God Himself did all that for us to be able to once again fellowship with His creation.
Kind of gives a whole new meaning to God is Good.

Stories like these make me so grateful that God blessed me with an already Christian family. There were no hurdles to overcome to be accepted. My parents lovingly raised me in the faith, and by the grace of God, we're even able to afford me a Christian education. Nabeel was/is definitely special. Mankind could not recover itself from death, but God could and did for our sake. God recovered from death and gave that to us as a gift. He shared what He had with us ... ETERNAL LIFE!. Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God. He will commune with them. The Lord of Hosts will be your friend and companion - a friend who will stay closer than a brother.

Oh goodness, I'm a soggy wet mess, Nabeel was tough to get through and hold it together, then you just took it over the edge.. I came late to the ball too, 18 years ago, yet the Gospel reduces me to tears now way more than it ever did. So many yet to rescue.

Excellent video and reminder. Jesus Christ demands that we would forsake all others (if they won’t receive Him, too) for Him. This man did that and he lived with the pain of doing so. Praise The Lord. He is worthy!
I remember hearing Nebiel speak. I thought to myself this young man is going to change so many minds. I remember looking forward to hearing him speak. Then a week later I came across a video. The people were talking about him in the past tense. Then I realized that he had died. He had been gone for a while. I wept I felt like I lost a friend.
