Mass effect was an incredible sight to behold in 2007. My Xbox 360 was purring away with visuals that blew my mind. Even with the texture mods, this 'uhd release' doesn't age well imo but it's great for the hardcore ms fans.
The game was never intended to run at such resolutions and part of the polished look for the game came from optimizing it for the Xbox as best they could. This ended up with a really good looking game for the time. Unfortunately they could only upgrade the game engine so much. They had to customize Unreal Engine 3 to make this work and get it up to a relatively modern engine.
once i was on a psytrancefestival...when i was back home, i had a little bit mdma left. took some and started the game first time..i had never started the game, because i stucked and the menu and listend to this music. now im 39 years old, and i had sit there for about 3 hours, just looked at the menue doin nothing just listened to the music and cried. it was the best mdma expierence in my life 😁
I wish my HDR didnt have a problem of making everything yellowish on my DELL monitor but it has good Adobe RGB colors when I have it full range on PS5 but then looks yellowish in HDR no matter what setting I choose. Crappy early HDR
@@Jerry4050but games on console and moves are made on limited and you need same hdmi black lvl settings to be compatible. There is no difference between both color ranges but settings must be put same value on pair full is black lvl high on Samsung TV and limited is low lvl black hdmi. You can't cross that option. That game gave Uhd with hdr.
As a PC only player, I get to play this masterpiece of a series all over again, but with better graphics, better game mechanics and better overall game performance. I pre-ordered 3 copies of this game and 3 copies of Biomutant, two days ago, 4 copies are for my kids on Playstation and 2 copies for myself on Steam. 2 more days to go for me to play MELE, while the kids will have to wait a bit longer for their physical copies to arrive.
Yea, the character models are DEFINITELY showing their age. However, for the time it was pretty impressive stuff given the scale and scope of the game. Honestly, I really wish they had went back and cleaned up the custom character designer. Stock Shephard is like the only normal looking one. Custom Shephard looks like he rides the short bus to the citadel...
I was hating on the lighting changes in LE before I played it. Afterward, I wished they would've overhauled ME2's lighting more. It's really dodgy and overly dark.
Theres a reason why mass effect has no 120 fps support for the ps5..according to the developers sony has backward compatibility restriction, it prevent them to access 120fps cap.. If you think about it the gap is way to small between series x and ps5 its a no brainer that ps5 is also capable for 120fps.. But microsoft allowed developers to do what they want on backward compatibility as long as they dont break the rules and the main platform of the game that was develop in the first place

@@xiRePeNTx I played the Mass Effect legendary Edition on my base ps4 two years ago and loved it . Now I just started it on my Ps5 and 4k at 60fps is very nice but the instant loading really changes the game , no more long elevator rides and instant quick saves .

Clean. The game is very nice looking. Lots of update visual effects, everything is scaled to UHD, and performance has been more then doubled. The game looks incredible as long as you realize it's a 14 year old game that was never intended to run at such frame rates and resolution. They did a damn good job!
If they had added raytracing, i totally would have bought this. But im not much interested in playing 2 again really, and not interested in 3 at all. So forcing us to buy all 3 games in a single brand new game priced package... is kind of meh...

The PS5 records at 4k 60 natively. It Doesn't need a fancy capture card to stream or record at this quality.
