The amount of detail in this game continues to blow my mind! At 3:49 as Ellie pushes the desk to barricade the door there's a subtle jiggle as it scrapes along the ground. Everything in those few seconds from the way the camera swings into the door to it panning up as Ellie engages the bolt at the top of the door, the subtle camera move and again the shudder from the desk just shows the attention to detail that very few studios could either think of let alone execute. Can't wait to see what they do with the PS5!!
Story & gameplay is shit, but animations and graphics are good. So then i can just watch a movie with same amount of plot holes "Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker"

Respectfully disagree. Nowhere near a masterpiece with horrible writing and plot... the first TLoU is a masterpiece, and this one left a bad taste in everyones mouth because they destroyed everything you established emotionally in the first game in the most foolish way possible. It's like playing the OG Metal Gear Solid, and after all the critical acclaims and positive reception, they kill off Solid Snake in the most stupid way, like slipping on a banana peel and falling into a cardboard box with dull razors... and then you play as Meryl out for revengeance to locate and punish the one who left the banana peel there... HOWEVER it is so damn gorgeous and the best looking console game out there! The graphic designers and sound effects team did such a fantastic job and deserve awards! The voice actors and motion capture also were amazing! I also loved the final boss fight. It was unique, raw, and grungy.

@@bradgong3357 no 60 fps makes a huge difference in gameplay. And if you had a regular ps 4 the resolution is higher from 1080 to 1440. It looks a good amount better and plays much smoother
This game is so intense. Loved it at my first playthrough las year... Definately need to play this again. But graphics etc were fantastic already on ps4 pro... Also 30 fps felt really ok.
Funny part is I just finally installed this game last week after finally finishing Ghost of Tsushima and was surprised they haven't patched this for PS5. Then the other day I turned it on and was like, wth, it's so smooth. I need a better TV now.

But walking, horse riding, simulation, interaction, is more realistic in Rdr 2. Tlou 2 is just realistic in gameplay. Where as Rdr 2 is the most life-like game ever made overall.
I never understood the hate The Last of Us 2 received because it's a really great game. The pacing is good, the graphics are next-gen and the story is great. I never got bored playing this and that's saying a lot because right now I'm playing Ghost of Tsushima and I couldn't make myself play for more than 2 hours straight. I have TLOU 2 up there with Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption and God of War in my list of the best games I played in the Ps4 gen.
That’s where you would be wrong. If it was on light or very light (difficulty levels for TLOU ll) there would be the health bar. It’s not on either difficulty. I’ve beaten the first game and this one on every difficulty. You don’t need bullets in either game if you’re good. I actually never use them I stealth my way through all that I can.
On tlou2 you can adjust difficulty but also up the loot you can get. So you can have much more bullets. Even on medium loot you get more than the first game
4K would have been nice, but 60 fps was the big ask. Still unsure why it took almost 8 months to unlock framerate though. Was definitely waiting for this though and replayed this a month or so ago thinking it was going to be a while. Then this drops out of nowhere. Time to go another playthrough I guess.

Yeh man I just got Returnal on PS5 and I would say its on par with TLOU2 visuals and its meant to be native next-gen. It shows just how talented Naughty Dog is.

Buddy it can be updated for your ps5 I just did it ps5s are designed to be backwards compatible with any ps4 disc and if there’s an update patch for the game date regardless of the disc it’ll apply it to yours
i think they are working on a real remaster with 1080p 120 fps and 4k60 fps option along with adaptive triggers with haptic feedback and tempest 3d audio with upgraded textures..

Yeah, it's just being upscaled to 4K. The game assets have never been converted to 4K textures. Wait for the PC version, then we can talk 4K@60. This is still running at 1440p60, and if they ever do come out with 4K, no way PS5 is going to hit 4K@60. It would just end up being either 1440p60 or 4K@30.

We're past that now that they have seen the sales numbers. To not do it, is just purely giving up on money. Also, ND has hired 13 positions for PC devs in the past 6 months, it's happening. The question is just when - it could be 5 years from now, or 10, but it *will* happen. Sony's strategy isn't dual release though, it's timed exclusive. It will be exclusive for PS5 for a year or two before releasing on PC. That has more to do with the time it takes to optimize - whereas when targeting Xbox, Windows targeting is basically just a checkbox when compiling.

Yeah, it’s actually 1440p; no increase to the resolution, just using the PS4 Pro res but given what’s under the hood they could release another patch but I doubt it. We’ll more than likely see a remaster of both titles.

I played on ps4 pro, as great as 4k, many details were lost because of 30 fps. I was waiting for ps5 upgrade to 60 fps. it would be so worth it to replay it with 60 fps l.
I know my opinion will sound unpopular, as also know combat is much more fluent now, but I rather the standard pace than that one which is provided by the 60 FPS. I feel the game overclocked in general terms. Got the same sensation with the first game when I decided to test it and almost felt Joel with the same agility (turning speed) than adult Ellie. Hard to explain it just with words.
That level of difficulty really destroys the immersion though. Do yourselves a favor and play it on survivor, it's quite an experience and makes the game really shine

Well, the story line is a double arc, showing from one revenge poin to the redemption, and in reverse from a sarcastic light hearted person bent on revenge goin the other way.
Only way to bring back Joel is to start Last of us 3 in a dream state and u give Ellie a special power to see the future and you simply prevent that sequence from taking place in the beginning of the game and flow Into a whole new Game 3 after u prevent his death. That's 1 way to correct the major F up. Its 1 of the greatest games ever it's a shame he had to ruin it.

Ever since I got my PS5 last year I couldn't play any more 30fps games. The PS5 had me spoilt.

Nope and it will be impossible. The original was 1440p. This patch only update the performance so you get 60fps.

I love watchin the action vids for this. But I also go full stealth as much as possible. Just makes more sense to me. Goin against a para-military group on their home turf. Don't seem like guns blazin is a viable option lol

Yeah, it’s actually 1440p; no increase to the resolution, just using the PS4 Pro res but given what’s under the hood they could release another patch but I doubt it.
We’ll more than likely see a remaster of both titles.

se ve muy fluido y menos soso , lo malo es que se puede apreciar más algunas texturas un poco sosas en la ropa ,eso no sé si es a causa de un sacrificio de texturas por 60 fps o por que en 30 fps no se puede apreciar bien las fallas de algunas de esta, aún así , creo que deberían tomar en cuenta una mejora de texturas por las de doom o los personajes de final fantasy 7 remake
(solo la de los personajes)

why only 1440p@60fps on PS5 and not 4k? They should pull this masterpiece to PC, if they cant get it properly with the PS5.
They can do it and the ps 5 can easily handle it. In the release they talked about this being just the beginning so they might do other updates for resolution.
Whats going on with all people screaming for 4K. All of a sudden all games under native 4K are unplayable or what? Seriously is this game unplayable or looks very bad? I dont think so. Who cares about resolution? Framerate is more important at least for me. Its funny because everyone wanted to save the PS3 Store so that they can play the good old 720p PS3 games 😄

I played on ps4 pro, as great as 4k, many details were lost because of 30 fps. I was waiting for ps5 upgrade to 60 fps. it would be so worth it to replay it with 60 fps l.

I know my opinion will sound unpopular, as also know combat is much more fluent now, but I rather the standard pace than that one which is provided by the 60 FPS. I feel the game overclocked in general terms. Got the same sensation with the first game when I decided to test it and almost felt Joel with the same agility (turning speed) than adult Ellie. Hard to explain it just with words.

The revenge storyline doesn't work with this game Ellie didn't like killing. Unless it's to save a life.
Well, the story line is a double arc, showing from one revenge poin to the redemption, and in reverse from a sarcastic light hearted person bent on revenge goin the other way.
does xbox have something like this?
Only way to bring back Joel is to start Last of us 3 in a dream state and u give Ellie a special power to see the future and you simply prevent that sequence from taking place in the beginning of the game and flow Into a whole new Game 3 after u prevent his death. That's 1 way to correct the major F up. Its 1 of the greatest games ever it's a shame he had to ruin it.
