I’ve been a subscriber for a little while and never commented before now; I have to say your genuine enthusiasm for RC kits it’s very intoxicating 😎. I enjoyed this build video and the tips and tricks you have implemented to build this shelf queen. Looking forward to future builds… Happy New Year
Fun Fact: I was lucky enough as an 11 year old to get an RC10 right when they came out. It replaced my Tamiya Subaru Brat that I was currently "racing". Back when everything was on track - frogs, brats, fox, fast attack, scorpion, you name it, someone was racing it. RC10 took over as we all know. And yes, I looked up to Halsey so much that I painted every single body for almost two years just like his, only changing colors up. Yep i was an RC geek back then, but ran Stock and Mod at 12 years old, did pretty well too. Did ya catch the two year part? Oh yea, I raced that car with so so many changes for two years. Hot Trick, Mip, trailing arm conversions, long arm fronts when they came out, on and on. My favorite "tune" was wide nose plate, stock front arms with 0.71 stroke shocks .. lots of droop, car ran and jumped nose high but fast and controllable. Scooted rear arms up to forward holes, limited rear travel, I could go on and on. That setup ripped in mod in the outdoor tracks that were rough as hell. Oh, used to run the transmission on 3 volts with cutting compound for hours to free it up before it went in the car. They were always tight when built. I built my own Halsey replica with my favorite setup years ago, Reedy mod, 7 cell, Airtronics XL2P, etc. Still got it. Good times.
God, those axle split pins! Such a pain! I remember struggling with them for AGES when I got my RC10 back in the 90s… Great job on the body - those lines are so sharp!
This video has taken five full days to make from building, filming, painting and editing. It’s also cost £450 to make and so far it’s made £38.00. Unfortunately not enough people watch detail build videos to make them viable. The only build videos I’ve seen work are After Hours Mechanic, but I don’t understand how those videos do so well as it’s just a time lapse. I’ve tried to polish my build videos to improve them but it doesn’t make any difference. It’s a shame as it looks like I will just have to do RTR product reviews like everyone else. Shame really.
Very nice model and great build. My pre ordered rc10 40th gold pan finally arrived just before Christmas and now would like another rc10 to go with it. This one is nice as also the worlds and the green caught my eye also!!! Great job on the body, much nicer painted than the stickers. Well done 👍
Wow, just built this myself, did the body with the decals provided but wow your looks the way to go! Kudo’s to you pal, that’s a nice job on that body, well jell’ 😂👍👊
In retrospect i wished I painted my body up as well, instead of using the decals, it’s a much cleaner finish, never mind. Looks really nice that Gavin really nice job 👍
Its deffo better to paint it than the stickers, i have seen a few sticker jobs that look great. But mine was a flop 😂 paint will be applied next time 😁
Gav, I know you just got into the older Losi's recently, but I would love to see you do a vintage Traxxas. Maybe something like a Trx-1, or a Blue Eagle. Might be a little hard to find in your part of the world, I know. Traxxas made some really good RCs back in the day.

Been hanging my nose over an rc10 lately, never had anything to do with rc10. what are the differences between the JH edition and the team car? Still loving the content, been watching since the 1st 'studio' and the 1 shelf 😂
Great build, turned out really nice and was very watchable. I'm hoping to get the team version of this, I think that's what it's called, it has the stealth gearbox in it. Hopefully there'll still be a few around when I'm ready to get one.

I got my first RC10 when I was 12 in ‘88. It was a killer RC car. Faster and handled way better than my friends Tamiya and Kyosho buggies.
I was at that race in Vineland New Jersey to watch my cousin race. Shorty after many of my friends and family all owned a RC10.
God, those axle split pins! Such a pain! I remember struggling with them for AGES when I got my RC10 back in the 90s… Great job on the body - those lines are so sharp!
Excellent video, especially the beginning montage! Thank you for sharing!
Brilliant paint work. Thank you for the video!
Awesome! Your build videos are the best, just wish there was more! 😊👍 Thanks Gav

I have been on the hunt for a Traxxas TRX-1 for a while now. One came up a while ago but I missed that unfortunately. The hunt continues...
What is the turn buckle tool used to hold the ball cups? I can't seem to find one. Thanks in advance!
Awesome video BTW.

What's the blue box thing next to your tools Gav?
Hi, the blue box is an allen key set
@RCKickschannel thanks Gav 👍
nice model, how many RC10 editions is there now? great build.
A lot lol
One detail missing is the aluminum Phillips chassis screws,,,
i think if was going to enter the raffle i would like the kit built lol
Funny as I was doing that but most people didn't like it and wanted a NIB.
Been hanging my nose over an rc10 lately, never had anything to do with rc10. what are the differences between the JH edition and the team car?

100% go for the Team Car, that has all the bells on out the box.
Great build, turned out really nice and was very watchable. I'm hoping to get the team version of this, I think that's what it's called, it has the stealth gearbox in it. Hopefully there'll still be a few around when I'm ready to get one.
did you not use bearings because you are not going to drive it?
Yep, no point for this one
I got all the RE Realeases is I don't necessarily plan on running them is there any point to getting bearings in your opinion?
2:48 Tamiya spray paints with worth of 1 trillion dolars 😂
lol
At least Associated used the larger C clips lol.
I paid USD180 for the RC10 Re-re and RC10 Worlds Re-Re. Why the F! Are these kits now $400?!
Quantitative easing, inept governments to name just a few reasons.
WTH no gold screws???? No thx.
Whats with the hat. Even your Lewis changed his….
Knobhead
Spanner
@@RCKickschannel Nope
