  • Lets see if the Adaptive Tuning System barrel tuner helps this Ruger precision rimfire out any?!?!
Ruger Precison Rimfire - Molded, one-piece chassis and adjustable buttstock assembly are manufactured with glass-filled nylon for strength, stiffness and stability, making a solid foundation for accuracy each and every shot. Adjustable buttstock features a flat Picatinny bag rider making it easy to affix a rear monopod. A molded-in window provides a tether point for your squeeze bag, and a metal QD pocket makes it easy to secure a sling.
Quick-Fit adjustable Precision Rimfire stock allows length of pull and comb height to be quickly and easily adjusted to get proper fit over a wide range of shooter sizes, outerwear and shooting positions. Indicating marks molded into the chassis help you quickly return to a previous position.
Big-Gun bolt throw adjustment enables shooters to change from a rimfire 1-1/2" bolt throw to a short-action centerfire 3" bolt throw, reducing the chance of short-stroking your bolt in competition.
Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger is externally adjustable, with a trigger pull range of 2.25 to 5 pounds; wrench is stored in a buttstock compartment.
Ruger's own AR-Pattern pistol grip and safety selector provides an extended reach for maximum control and access to the 45°, reversible safety selector. May be configured with most AR-style grips and selectors.
Anodized Picatinny scope base includes 30 MOA elevation for increased long-range capabilities out of the box.
Oversized bolt handle for positive bolt manipulation (same as the Ruger Precision® Rifle).
15" aluminum free-float handguard features Magpul® M-LOK® slots on all four sides for improved scope clearance for long-range scopes and easy mounting of M-LOK-compatible rails and accessories.
Target barrel is cold hammer-forged from 1137 alloy steel to create ultra precise rifling for excellent accuracy. Barrel can be replaced easily by a competent gunsmith using AR-style wrenches and headspace gauges.
1/2"-28 threaded barrel for standard muzzle accessories, like the Silent-SR® suppressor, comes with a factory-installed thread protector covering both the threads and crown.
    Accepts all 10/22® magazines.
Adaptive Tuning System - Note: The ATS is designed to be used with a thread protector, muzzlebrake or suppressor to secure the ATS in place. If you have a timed muzzle brake or a muzzle brake that is not self timing via a reverse jam nut then the ATS may not work with your setup.
Current production Models are black nitride and have reference markings laser engraved on the outside of the tuner weight. The silver models you see in the gallery are first run prototypes used during the testing phases.
    Utilizes your existing muzzle threads
    No additional gunsmith work required
    All common thread types available
Allows using your existing muzzle brake or suppressor of choice
Have you ever showed up to a match or a hunting trip with ammo that was shooting one ragged hole when you left and is now shooting completely different? Do you want the ability to squeeze that last bit of performance out of your rifle with hand-loaded or factory ammo? Then the Adaptive Tuning System (ATS) be what you’re looking for.
The Adaptive Tuning System (ATS) was initially developed by Aaron Hipp, a Competitive Precision Rifle Shooter. The goal was to design a tuning system capable of supporting the demanding needs of the shooting community, overcome existing tuner design limitations, and most importantly, provide flexibility to use across multiple rifle systems and configurations with no additional rifle modifications required!
Key features of the Adaptive Tuning System (ATS) not found on other tuners are that it allows the shooter to use their existing muzzle brake or suppressor of choice and mounts to the rifles EXISTING MUZZLE THREADS! The The Adaptive Tuning System (ATS) is easily moved from rifle to rifle and does NOT require any additional gunsmith work; unlike most other tuners currently available.
The Adaptive Tuning System (ATS) threads on to your existing muzzle threads and slides over your barrel without touching it. It will support barrels up to 1.08" diameter approximately 2 inches behind the muzzle. The Adaptive Tuning System (ATS) is focused on those shooters that want a flexible system that allows simple tuning of their rifle system across a broad range of disciplines and setups such as: 22, Benchrest, F-Class, PRS, ELR, or Hunting disciplines whether using hand loaded or factory ammo.

Thanks. Am trying this tuner on my B-14 and so far I’m lovin it. Only at 50yds so far but finding the sweet spot for each brand and type of ammo has improved my groups. Some by a lot.

No doubt those things work. There are a number of them on the market. A lot like the Boss system they had on Winchesters and Brownings a few years back.

love your videos. please continue keeping them going sharing the hobby. I did test about 30 different types or brands of ammo for my rpr rimfire in .22lr and of all of them it seems to like RWS R50 the best, followed by RWS R100 and 3rd the green box of Elley Sport. The rest were garbage and all over the place. m2c. would love to see you do some grouping tests at 50 and 100m

Found you from pursuit of accuracy. Great video. I never had great luck with eley target at 100yrd. Eley club much more dependable. There was some eley sport that was cheaper than target and shot just as good at 50yrds. I wish i had bought a pallet of that now!

It's important to keep going to see how groups react and to find the setting with the least amount of variation around the setting being shot. That will allow the least amount of variation when conditions change.

I made a tuner from a busted old Tasco scopes Ocular lense housing. Cut it down, added a 1" cast iron coupler inside the flare. Added some set screws and whammy Sammy did it fucking work. At 100yds, and just from the start, a 10/22 target took S&B club ammo from 1" down to roughly 3/16". Now I want to get the real tuner and thread the barrel for it, but the wife is so happy she's busting my balls about wanting to replace it.

In the future I’d suggest that you do through-the-scope videos. That way people can see your point of aim as well.

Did your B14R have the carbon barrel? I get vertical stringing when it starts heating up. I picked up the ATS tuner also but have been limited by weather conditions as to the testing and getting dialed in. Been windy and or raining everytime. Still got work to do.

Any updates on this? I am letting the curiosity bug get me so I am considering one for a .22 and one for a 6 ARC. The reason I am looking at this one is because it still allows the use of a suppressor WITHOUT having to mess up a barrel.

Years ago I bought a box of Eley primmed Remington 22 ammo. Absolutely garbage! Hell I think thunderbolts would perform the same lol. My favorite 22 ammo is Wolf match target. It performs amazingly out of both my Savage MK. I and MK.II even my old Norinco JW-15 loves Wolf.

skip to 4 minutes to get to the action.
Also holy shit this thing works like black magic. Same price as a new barrel but it'll save me money in the long run by being able to tune it to the ammo I already have on hand.

Wouldn't you shoot sighters at the match first,so why not use this system. It also looks like it would be advantageous for longer ranges. All bullets will react to weather, so why not be able to adjust it to a corrected position. After looking at these things I am sold.

Why you need a tuner shooting a 22. Just do t need it at 50-100yrds. Use cci standard groups will be so much better. Elects are crap even tenex continuously miss fire. My groups are half what your shooting so the RPRR is a sound factory platform.
