Flareon’s flaming tackle attack seems to be the physical move Flare Blitz before they changed the name. Also, Flareon did not learn this move until generation 6.
I know that Brock and Misty say they gave Ash their badges out of pity. But Ash actually tried to decline the boulder badge until Brock gave him a whole speech about Ash following the dream he couldn't or some shit, and Misty wasn't even a gym leader at the time, her sisters were and they were literally just gonna give Ash the badge because they didn't have any healthy Pokemon left from the other trainers from pallet town that got their first. (Which is still a very stupid call but my point is that Misty was not gym leader yet and had no say in the matter)
And she was actually losing to Ash as he made a smart call by calling back butterfree before he can get damage while pidegeotto destroyed Starmie. So she was actually losing.
@@avatardoom Brock even points out Ash earned it for showing compassion and restraint to an opponent. Had a friend over about a week ago ago who had never seen the first pokemon movie. I told her how when pikachu says "pika pi", thats his way of saying Ash, and that made the big moment of the movie hit even harder
It says "pika pi" because it's 3 syllables. 'Satoshi' is Ash's name in Japan, also 3 syllables. Pikachu's original voice was unchanged for the English dub.
Sand attack makes sense. It’s the Pokémon kicking up sand, or grabbing a handful from the ground and throwing it at the opponent’s eyes. Naturally that would affect flying types as it doesn’t do damage.
Actually, Focus energy dividing your critical hit rate is actually somewhat beneficial in gen 1 because of how in that game critical hits don’t take into account your stat bonuses so if you raise you stats you’re actually doing less damage with a critical hit.
0:31 The Delta Species Wooper is still weak to grass as the weakness shows on the card. All Delta cards keep their classic weaknesses, despite changing their types.

Brock's wasn't though? Ash willingly chose to leave Pewter City and go someplace else to earn a badge but was chased down by Brock who insisted he earned it for demonstrating compassion to his opponent's Pokémon. Everyone just conveniently forgets that.
