If you read understand the Gospel, this song becomes a lot more meaningful. Jesus Christ is pure gold and He changes us when we become a Christian. We are measured by what He says we are (the Holy Spirit, one of the Three Persons of God, is likened to the wind in the Bible). And change will come to those who trust in Jesus because we will be transformed on earth in our circumstances by God's grace. But even if that doesn't happen on earth, it will DEFINITELY happen once we die or Jesus comes back again, whichever happens first. :) In terms of culture being unfolded, perhaps that's meaning how in the future, culture will be as it should be once Jesus remakes the earth and the world will be as it should be ("it's honor restored.") But Jesus is the pure gold we should hold on to because there is absolutely nothing nor no one better than Jesus, the Savior of the world and rightful King. :D

I've always associated certain songs with strong memories and this one is driving on the interstate in the fall (I found Half Alive in the fall of 2021) with my window down and hand in the wind. I didn't have anything to worry about I could just breath and stop thinking about EVERYTHING at once. So anytime I need to stop and relax I'll play this song and I'm taken back.

One of the best things about half alive's dancing (and music) is that it's just men dancing together and though it's sensual, it's not sexual. It human connection. It's not about sex or about typical masculinity, it's about expressing yourself and living life. And that's beautiful.
