I had a Kidd rifle 9-10 years ago. Shot pretty good. Sold it along with 5 Anschutz and a USMC 40X bought at the CMP South store. Wish I kept some of the Anschutz. Built a 10/22 two years ago when I started shooting our .22 Sniper Match again. I used a Feddersen 18" barrel and a Kidd single stage trigger kit. Put the action in a Titan stock. It is as accurate as my Bergara using Eley Benchrest Precision. The Bergara likes the same ammo. I stopped using all SK ammo as I would get 1 or 2 flyers in every box. That hurts at the 200 yd targets.
I have a supergrade that I love. Have similar results. But I built my wife a 10/22 with a volquartsen barrel and trigger in a brownells receiver in a houge stock that shoots as good or better than my kidd. I had to freeze the barrel and heat up the reciever to get it in. Lots of fun
Yes. I built my 10/22 with kidd 20in Bull Barrel and Kidd 2 stage trigger. Boyds pro varmint wood stock. TI left handed charging receiver. It is as accurate as my CZs...it is HEAVY. I enjoy shooting it but I tend to shoot to fast with the semi auto.
I considered doing a chassis, but went with a boyds also for looks. Now I wonder if it could have been even more accurate with a chassis, it's already more accurate than I thought it could be but still wondering what if
I have an early super grade that has the threaded barrel into the receiver. It also came with the McMillan stock from the factory. Kid really makes a fantastic rifle. I have many in the safe and I'm not sure what's the scope it has on it but I think it's a Trijicon. It's probably my favorite rifle. It will always be in my collection.
I have a Volquartzen/Ruger 10-22 I play with the only Ruger part is the receiver and magazines. I learned one thing out of the four magazines I have one will cause shots to go wild. It must deform the rounds on the trip to the chamber and it doesn't do it every time. Something is definitely different about it. The Kidd is pretty impressive and you just can't help but shoot it fast.
I had a Norinco copy of a Browning SA which fired a .25cal one-hole group after 5 RWS red box standard velocity rounds at 40yds - then I traded it off. I still live with regret. I'm going to look into this *KIDD* SG!
I love my Kidd 10/22. It's as accurate as my cz457s, meaning I'm the limiting factor. It's also not as picky about what ammo I feed it. My only problem is I shoot it too fast and mess up my groups. Bolt action forces me to concentrate on every shot.

Glad to see your review. I just bought a Kidd Super Grade this spring. I live in the remote west, so unable to get really good ammo. Just found some SK Rifle Match and these really shot. Third group out of the gun was 1/4 inch. I really enjoy it.

I did put a thumbhole stock on it from a air rifle that I converted myself which helped but what an accurate rifle outshot a tuned 10/22 by a country mile & never had a misfire with subsonics.
Love the kidd that I built over time from a stock 10/22, it's insanely accurate. The only grudge I have is with Kidd's customer service. They've had my rifle twice for cycling issues but just sent it back saying it's fine and didn't really care to look in to the issue.
I just bought the magpul stock (after much deliberation), Kidd 762 threaded barrel, Kidd buffer, Kidd bolt with spring kit. Time to upgrade my 17 year old 10/22!
How do you like that stock? Ive been putting off replacing mine, but have my eye on the Magpul. I replaced my trigger with the Kidd 2 stage, added their viton buffer tube, on a Magnum Research 10/22 receiver, carbon fiber tension barrel, topped with a Rapid Reticle Evolution 22LR scope. It'll shoot about 1/2 moa with good ammo on a good day. Best part is everyone loves to shoot it.

I have a Fedderson 16" bull non-fluted barrel, everything else is Kidd and a Titan stock. Nothing Ruger left, not a screw or spring. I went with Fedderson barrel at the time because the Kidd barrel was pressed fit and the Fedderson was slip fit. I would have had to bake the receiver and freeze the barrel. Then get out the heavy rubber mallet to install the Kidd barrel. More drama than i cared for. Also used the Gunsmither V block to attach the barrel/receiver.
Don't know if I've watcjed this one before, but either way. That is an accutate 10/22. Bought my 1st (basic blued OEM with a wood stock) a couple years ago and this is the end goal. On maybe 1/2 that budget at least haha
I've been shooting and competing with a Kidd 10/22 for over a year now, and absolutely love it. Very accurate and consistent. I have found though that it does not like to eject flat nose ammo...including the Eley Match. Let me know if you find the same. Great content.
Don't do the Calvin Elite, I returned mine. It has adjustable shoes but it's really awkward, the trigger pivots also and moves on you as you shoot, never stays in the same place. It really weird 😕. Also even when adjusted all the way down it would only go as low as 2lbs. Thats a common problem i hear. Itried all the Triggers, 10/22 triggers just have a different feel to them, I actually settled on the Kidd 2 stage, and I'm a single stage guy too. I got the 8oz, 8oz model and its the closest trigger I could find that had a similar feel to the single stage Timeny in my CZ 457. Love that trigger. Yes it has the first stage but once you get to the second stage it's just like the CZ Trigger.... well kinda. Solid wall with no take up and a light, sharp clean break. You will love it. Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it. But I'd take it, LOL

Depends on the goals i suppose. If your looking to shoot past 600 then yeah centerfire is where its at. But lots of fun to be had at 500 and in with a 22lr

Appreciate ya watching
I've been shooting and competing with a Kidd 10/22 for over a year now, and absolutely love it. Very accurate and consistent. I have found though that it does not like to eject flat nose ammo...including the Eley Match. Let me know if you find the same. Great content.
Mine does not run Eley flat nose well. However Eley Semi Auto22 Benchrest shoots as good as Center X.
@@Jeff-mv4yy yes it does. I bought a case of a good Lot number of Eley BR Precision.
Wow! Just wow! Not at all what I expected, that's for sure.
Thanks
I actually got both kidd triggers with it. I like the feel of the calvin elite but need more time behind them to make a decision
@@PursuitofAccuracy Let me know if u pass on the Kidd Single Stage, I’d like to try that one out, damn triggers are expensive.
Great shooting Buddy !!!! That gun kix azz
Thanks brother
GREAT RIFLE AND GREAT SHOOTING. 😉😁👍 I've got 2 10/22s, built one for carry (hunting) the other is kinda HEAVY so it's my bench rifle.😉😁👍 Someone else built the HEAVY one, all I had to do is mount a nice high powered scope for hitting small things FAR AWAY. 😁👍 I had a FIRE at my house 😯😵💫so I will let you know later how BOTH SHOOT.😁👍
And it’s threaded and for a can! Would be good to see a silencer on the channel sometime...
If only we didnt have to jump through hoops to get em. I need to get one but the process kills it for me
I think the model 74 would give that 10-22 a run for its money 💰!!!!!
Nice rifle
Nice shooting
Appreciate it
That was better than some of your bolt guns. Maybe you should take that to the next PRS
@@kenjackson5938 small groups don't win prs matches
Awesome, get some 25 round mags, and let the fun begin 😎👍
Im scared to lol
The action will run like a sewing machine, bang, bang, bang

Great video Josh. Question, is that the light Kidd barrel, or heavy? Oh one more thing, did you bed the gun?
It came to me bedded into that stock already.
I believe it is the heavy barrel
Wow nice video dude! 🤘🏻
I've been thinking about grabbing one of these. You're not helping my bank account 🤣
Lol sorry
Finally! I love my Kidd Supergrade! It’s more accurate than my Tikka T1x with ec tuner and best setting. I put Victor Titan stock. Had a few groups under 0.5 moa at 100 yards. Hit the 12‘’ target at 500 yards 3/10 with Arken EP5. Now I just put Tract Toric on it with 13 mills mount and I have enough for 1000 yards)) will try that soon
Thank you for videos!
Thats pretty good. Love my tract scopes.
@@PursuitofAccuracy I purchased it for Tikka Tac A1 but before that I want to set my own record with Kidd. )) On Tikka I using Athlon Ares ETR, I know you like it too. So, then I gonna put Ares to Kidd.
Love my KIDD.. I am not running super Grade but I am running the KIDD 20" Heavy SS..
Nice
Got a 10/22 I put together back in the 90’s shoots lights out
They are super fun
thats great shooting on that kyl target at 94 yards, impressive
Thanks!
BIG JUMP JOSH ...!!!!!! GREAT VIDEO ...!!!!! JOSH ...! ! ! A W E S O M E S H O O T I N G . . . ! ! ! ! FANTASTIC VIDEO ...!!!!!!!! DOUBLE G. HERE ...!!!!!
I've built quit a few 10'22's with attitude just maybe...maybe
a purpose built Vudoo type barreled action rifle can get around them. But for the money. ...I don't know.
A purpose built 10-22....there a tuff rifle!
The bolt guns have the inherent advantage of better sd and es with good ammo. They dont require gas to operate the bolt so they will always be more consistent in that category
Impressive !
It`s outstanding
Dead Eye!! Awesome shooting!!
Thanks
Good video, very impressive, I wonder how the Clark Custom and the Volquartsen compare?
Maybe a future video?
Thanks for showing us how accurate these rifles can shoot,i was just looking at the Kidd rifles this earlier in the week, i am interested in the white card that seems to be attached to your scope, i have been trying to train myself to shooting with both eyes open and need something like this ,did you buy this or did you make this up yourself ? thanks p.s i am waiting patiently for a T1X build
I bought the cards. I write my elevation dials on the card when shooting prs / nrl
Nice, thanks, earned another subscriber!
Thanks!
Thats impressive for a 10/22. Can't have in Australia. But a 10/22 was my first 22 when they were legal.
You guys gave up your guns. Your prison colony country is as bad as England. lol
@@joed3264 there are actually more guns now than before buy back. But no semi autos. You can but it's a hassle.
@@anthonykhalil70 Yes, I read the rules. Similar to England's. Were your ancestors in the prison colony? lol Eleven convict ships arrived in 1788.

Thanks for all the great vids Josh. What is the trigger pull on that Kidd super?
Its the kidd 2 stage and was set around 7 ounces on the break 😁
Sweeeeet man I had to watch this one... I mean it's not ur cz or ur new bergara haha... but ya love the 1022
Haha thanks
That’s an amazing shooting rifle.
Thanks Steve
Btw Josh, I was able to adjust my Kidd single stage down from 1.5 lbs to 14 oz bump safe trigger .
Wow nice
I got one. You will really like it.
Enjoy your videos this one has me checking out Kidd 10/22. I am wondering what your thoughts about 22 mag and if you done any accuracy testing with same
I like 22mag in general but havent tested it for accuracy like i have with 22lr
Awesome Video
Thank you
great shooting as always brother
Thanks
Phenomenal shooting.
Thanks
I have shot a lot of elr rimfire with a lh cz452.
Considering the limited accuracy of the ammo, a good center fire would be much better for the money, if you want really hit a target.
Depends on the goals i suppose. If your looking to shoot past 600 then yeah centerfire is where its at. But lots of fun to be had at 500 and in with a 22lr
My Kidd shoots lights out, change up your stock to a Victor Company Titan.
A stock may be in the future
Very nice shooting
I put a KIDD barrel on mine and use it for f class prone 50 & 100 yds.
Nice
Awesome !!
Would love to see how it groups at 100 yds?? Some benchrest competition is that distance
Will give that a go as well
I have a GM 17" Heavy Tapered Sporter, she shoots great. Also have a Pike Arms match grade bolt on a Deluxe Walnut stock. That the 20" or 18" you have on yours. Looks like the bull version, not tapered one.
It is the bull barrel, straight taper.
@@PursuitofAccuracy try some bulk ammo. Auto Match, Thunderbolts, & Winchester white box. Also shoot through a chronograph to see what the barrel can do. 💨
@@lawrencehawk5179 im out of state training so I didnt bring any of the bulk ammo I have with me. Just match ammo
@@PursuitofAccuracy oh ok. Still never fired through my GM. Them barrels, they bentz chamber like the Sporter I have?
Very very impressive!!!
Thanks Eric
Does it have a button to push to keep the boat open for like competition use
Kidd 22 rifles are Fun😎👍
They are
Great shooting, and I want one. Give up the goods on that rifle. Where did you buy the rifle?
You can get them directly from Kidd. Built to order but they have a super fast turn around time on then.....like a week or two
Pretty awesome! Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Thanks
Great freaking shooting! 😀
Thanks
Is that rifle how you got it directly from Kidd or did you do anything to it? How long is the barrel and is it a threaded barrel?
I believe its 20" and threaded. It is exactly how it comes from kidd
@@PursuitofAccuracy thank you for the reply, do you think there would be a big difference between the 18-in and 20 inch barrel? I'm planning on ordering the same rifle soon and just trying to figure out some of the little details. The main purpose is to use it for kyl shooting and shooting for groups at 50 and 100 yards. Do you have any experience with Aquila copper plated 40 grain? Was wondering how accurate it would be through rifles like that one.
Incredible shooting Josh!🔥🔥
Thank you
How much does it weigh? Sorry if I missed it. Is there anything for 1000 that comes close?
WOW!!!
Very impressive
Thanks Earl
What makes you like the single stage over the 2 stage. I'm putting a new super grade together that I would like to try NRL with and I haven't decided on a trigger yet.
I just like my trigger to break as soon as pressure is applied.
Its just a preference. No real advantage to either other than the shooters preference
That is awesome. I'm working on an old 1022 with a volquartson carbon fiber barrel. I've trued the bolt face, replaced the trigger and bedded the stock. It won't come close to those groups. Any suggestions what else to try?
What all ammo have you tried?
@@PursuitofAccuracy cci standard ,sk standard plus, federal premium and a couple of others. Sk is by far the best. Nothing to exotic.
Try Eley and Lapua. Choosing the right ammo for your .22 build is a rabbit hole that takes time. When you find a lot that works buy it up!
Do you ever talk about the cost of these upgrades! My set-up is over $1k and it's not as built out as that.
THNX 4 MAKIN ME SPEND MORE CASH 🤨🤨
Haha sorry brother. I fully understand if im not on the christmas card list 😆
Hope you have a case of that ammo! Mabe 2.........
I had only what Chris would let me steal which wasn't much
Build specifics? Anything you would change if you were going to build another one?? thx b
Its the 20" stainless barrel. 2 stage kidd trigger, kidd bolt.
If i had to change anything the krg bravo probably the better stock option
When the long range shooting coming for this
Got to get a mount so i can get some moa out of it and i will be shooting it long range
try some ELEY Semi-Auto Benchrest Precision out of my Kidd it is as good as it gets for just 10 dollars per box, have shoot 244-247 in IR 50/50
I got 2 bricks of it to see if the kidd likes it
