  • My wife got me this pair of Velosambas about a year ago. I only wore them today.

    Bought this too but immediately sold mine. I thought they addressed the fitting issue on the originals sambas guess i was wrong. It fits nicely on the sides but the space on the toe is a bit long same on the originals samba. I still have my originals samba tho for quick run to grocery or bike shops heheh.

    I wanted either the Chrome Kursks or the Velosambas but due to availability i ended up with the Kursk 2.0s after watching Spindatt's review of them. Especially because he rode fixed gear a lot at the time he initially released the video i was sold. I'm a fixed gear rider too. The shank was improved from prior version (they snapped near where the cleats bolt in).....and they changed the rubber on the outsole. The hi-viz "grippy" laces are a nice touch as well.
    I'm still interested in trying out the Velosambas if my size ever comes up. I run mtb clipless on just about everything including my fixed gears. I run road clipless on the roadie though.

      The Chrome Kursks look great!

      @carlovillarica I love how low key they look. For the most part, the cleat doesn't make noise... and when it does it's not very loud. At least for me, where the cleat is mounted.

    You can also replace and add a thicker insole. HTH.

    I sold mine a while ago. They’re really tight and narrow. I’m using the Kursk 2.0 from chrome industries, much more comfortable. 👌

      @s1alker564 Год назад

      I hear you on the narrow part. I have EEEE (4E) width feet and it's very hard to find cycling shoes.

    • @jonathangapay1724
      @jonathangapay1724 Год назад

      Yeah but the thing is, my feet aren’t that wide. 😬 so the shoe is pretty narrow.

      I've got wide feet. I'm still using my Lake wide shoes. I'll never buy shoes again unless i read they are meant for wide feet

    Velosamba is an all around everyday shoes, sucks if it's not your size and you can't return or replace it anymore. You'd prolly be able to sell it quick since it's one of those kicks for keep, but having said that you would want one for yourself too but now, it'd be difficult to find the perfect VS for your feet. I would suggest buy one of those 60-100 pesos half insoles.

    • @carlovillarica
      @carlovillarica  Год назад

      so far, it's fine. Might look into those half insoles though

    Hi there, I've seen this pair with a discount but tbh, is it a good idea to use them as a regular walking shoes?

    • @carlovillarica

    Recently, I inherited my dad's road bike. I am getting into biking. What would you recommend for my first pair of spd shoes?

    • @carlovillarica
      @carlovillarica  Год назад

      I haven't tried all the shoes in the market, so I would look at specific reviews of shoes. But things to think about - has to fit well (check if you have wide feet, my feet are wide, so the shoes have to be able to fit wide feet for me), decide if you will be doing a lot of walking around with them (if you want to do a lot of walking with them, the stiffest shoe might not be for you), and see what the review says about riding them in your weather conditions (rainy, hot, snowy, etc.).

      if you are looking for nice SPD Cycling shoes, I would recommend the shimano's cross racing (XC), the XC3 and XC5 are great choices

    Been seeing these shoes for a while now. And actually watched reviews as well.
    You think having mtb cleats on a road bike is okay? Just so I can try these on haha!

    • @pinoyxbox
      @pinoyxbox Год назад +1

      Tried mtb cleats and this shoe. From my experience i find it really hard to clip my feet on the pedals coz the spd attachment are too small. Borrowed an spd-sl pedal and bought 1k php cleat shoes on shopee to try it out. Easy clip in/out on the road shoe. You have many choices din for road cleats shoes and stylish din. But to each his own you should try both and see what works out for you.

      i dont ever intend to use road shoes. I have them and tried using them, but i dont intend to race road. So I'm actually selling my road shoes. I put MTB cleats on everyhing
