@@matthewmann8969 It’s crazy, but most people grossly underestimate Darth Maul It’s funny because Darth Maul’s greatest force feat in canon scales above Darth Tyranus’s He destroyed the hyper drive of the venator in S7 of The Clone Wars. Another thing that I think is absolutely hilarious Is that most people think that because Dooku can use the force to do all different kinds of tricks that means that he’s automatically better than or has a higher force connection or aptitude than someone like Darth Maul or Anakin Skywalker because they use the force to augment their physical abilities, rather than to diversify their force skill set Hilarious. I guarantee you that, if Dooku used the force to augment his physical abilities next to Anakin and Darth Maul, and they had a bench pressing contest, Dooku would loose handily. I personally believe that Darth Maul’s, and Anakin Skywalker’s force level, connection, and or aptitude are higher than Dooku’s That’s just my opinion though I am like 1000% sure that Yoda would’ve executed Darth Sidious or Darth Tyranus if those fights kept going. (With no outside help) Darth Maul never outright lost to Obi Wan until Star Wars Rebels. I know you’re about to reference the fight with Darth Maul, Obi Wan, and Savage, but if you watch the fight closely Obi-Wan never touched Darth Maul, only Savage, and it was very clear in that fight that Darth Maul did not want to kill him, but to make him suffer And if you watch the fight closely, you’ll notice that once Savage got hurt, Darth Maul ended the fight HIMSELF, by lifting Obi Wan with the force, and blasting him down the long corridor, causing the entire hallway to collapse. Somehow people call that losing the fight For Darth Maul. I just don’t understand that. Darth Maul ended that fight HIMSELF. Darth Maul has ragdolled Obi Wan in a similar manner to how Count Dooku has ragdolled him Anyone who thinks that Darth Maul is a lackey should please go watch the power scaling video on Darth Maul by keyissues. And I personally believe that Darth Maul’s prime was in the Phantom Menace I believe he got more powerful after the Phantom Menace, but not in the force or in potential, but in skill and application and experience As for Darth Vader vs Darth Maul Vader could win, but it would definitely be a close fight. Darth Vader and Darth Maul both had hallway scenes. They both had impressive force feats with impressive scale. Darth Vader stopping an AT-AT with the force And Darth Maul destroying the Venator class star destroyer in Clone Wars season 7. They both lost to Obi Wan in a way that didn’t have to do with force power, but craftiness. And let’s not forget that Darth Maul was Darth Sidious star pupil who he intended to have slaughter the Jedi and follow through with the Rule of Two with him. He admits this to Darth Vader in one of the canon comics. Darth Vader became Darth Sidious prime candidate after Darth Maul had already lost half of his organic body mass, thus lessening his potential by a massive amount and making him a far less promising apprentice. At which point Darth Sidious met Anakin Skywalker for the first time. The reason Sidious didn’t take Darth Maul back as his Sith Apprentice Dooku was Useful in a political way that Darth Maul currently was not If Darth Maul was never cut in half then Darth Sidious would have continued to use both Darth Maul and Count Dooku like he was already doing by the time of the Phantom Menace. Darth Maul would have remained his official Sith Apprentice until it was time for Anakin to ascend to that role. He would’ve continued to use Dooku on the side as the face of the Separatists. Everything changed when he was cut in half and presumed dead, and he met Anakin Skywalker. It is like he had the greatest loss in losing Darth Maul, but then received the greatest promise or hope from meeting Anakin Skywalker. And he Dooku the whole time, doing his part. He knew Darth Maul was currently disloyal and a threat to his grand design And last, Darth Maul lost his potential when he was cut in half. And lastly Darth Sidious vs Savage and Darth Maul Savage tanked repeated lightning blast from Count Dooku After he did that he force choked Count Dooku and Asaj Ventress, breaking through both of their force walls at the same time. I don’t think it was easy for Sidious. If you watch the fight uncut you see Sidious groan in the middle of the fight before he kills Savage. Sidious also had to separate them before he killed Savage. That was a mouthful I welcome any intellectual response
Sidious knew that Qui-Gon was considered Grey by the Jedi Council; meaning he was less absorbed in the Jedi Code, & more attuned to the Living Force. Jinn's attunement to the here-and-now over the abstract & ever-changing future that most Jedi were obsessed with (and which Palpatine had already started to cloud), made him a dangerous opponent to Sidious' plans, & an even more deadly adversary as a mentor for Anakin. Jinn would have been more of a father figure, as opposed to Obi-Wan's older brother status. Jinn would also have been more sympathetic towards Anakin's struggles with his emotions, & less likely to ask Anakin to completely forget about his mother
Grey Jedi isnt a thing. Qui-Gon was an agent of the living force and a damn good one at that. The council were the ones who became too dogmatic. Qui-Gon was just your traditional Jedi not someone who tallyied between light and dark.
@@gibster9624 I said he was CONSIDERED Grey by the Jedi Council, because of his refusal to adhere to the dogma of the Jedi Code. Learn to read, Big Shoots. And while Grey Jedi may not "exist" in the malformed, mutated, fish-baby, Bizarro, clone offspring produced by the Mickey Mouse Empire; in REAL Star Wars canon, they do.
How many have died because of my actions hits differently after you watch this series he was struggling between what was right and fair and republic senates corruption
I think this is why he never had the yellow sith eyes, he was never fully committed to the dark side. Dooku was very smart as well I imagine he had his own plan to betray palpatine at some point as well
This is a classic example again in Star Wars of I believe I’m doing the right thing and it turns out you’re doing the right thing for somebody else when you think it’s yourself.
Dooku saw both sides of corruption from both the jedi and the sith. Imagine that. Already being so frustrated with the blindness of your old friends, being shunned by then because you saw the truth and they were too afraid to face the harsh reality, you try to show them the error of their ways, turn evil and join the sith. But obviously they are no better, and seem like they're the same. The only difference is attire. It would be like escaping from an abuser and right into the clutches of another abuser.
You can basically boil down the entire Star wars timeline to if dooku would have just said something to the council right after this, everything would have been prevented. If he was like hey look I've done really bad things. The only thing I can do to make up for it is presenting this. It would mean a huge deal to the council.

Dooku: You question my loyalty? Sidious: …Always. (“Rule of Two” The appreciate always tries to replace the master. He doesn’t trust ANYBODY, and Sidious knows someone will always be there too try and kill him.
The fact he dared to conspire with dooku while maul was still kicking shows his heresy to banites rule, though if plagueis role in the story was similar then that's just icing on the cake.
He was in the middle. More of a neutral party motivated very politically by wanting to end the violence. He was swayed to the dark side because he felt they were far more powerful than the rebels and drive in deeper by the death of his master. He stayed politically motivated and while he had good intention, the means we’re very wrong. This neutrality (not driven by hate) can be observed by how even when using force lighting, he isn’t permanently warped by the dark side (twisted features, sith eyes, etc).
Sidious knew his plans would be doomed if Qui Gon were to train Anakin… Qui Gon, much like Dooku, was more ‘grey’ and they both saw the positives and negatives of both sides. Anakin fell because of obi wans blind loyalty to the order
One of the best characters in star wars that never got their story told. I would love to see a live action series about him. I just hope Disney doesn't ruin it like they do absolutely everything else.
Dooku: "He could've been a powerful ally." Sidious: "For you, perhaps." I love that interaction, truly shows how much Palpatine feared Qui-gon, and knew he had to be delt with for his plans to succeed. He's basically saying there's no way Qui-gon would've turned to the dark side, such a powerful statement.

Another thing that I think is absolutely hilarious Is that most people think that because Dooku can use the force to do all different kinds of tricks that means that he’s automatically better than or has a higher force connection or aptitude than someone like Darth Maul or Anakin Skywalker because they use the force to augment their physical abilities, rather than to diversify their force skill set
Hilarious.
I guarantee you that, if Dooku used the force to augment his physical abilities next to Anakin and Darth Maul, and they had a bench pressing contest, Dooku would loose handily.
I personally believe that Darth Maul’s, and Anakin Skywalker’s force level, connection, and or aptitude are higher than Dooku’s
That’s just my opinion though
I am like 1000% sure that Yoda would’ve executed Darth Sidious or Darth Tyranus if those fights kept going. (With no outside help)
Darth Maul never outright lost to Obi Wan until Star Wars Rebels.
I know you’re about to reference the fight with Darth Maul, Obi Wan, and Savage, but if you watch the fight closely Obi-Wan never touched Darth Maul, only Savage, and it was very clear in that fight that Darth Maul did not want to kill him, but to make him suffer
And if you watch the fight closely, you’ll notice that once Savage got hurt, Darth Maul ended the fight HIMSELF, by lifting Obi Wan with the force, and blasting him down the long corridor, causing the entire hallway to collapse.
Somehow people call that losing the fight For Darth Maul. I just don’t understand that.
Darth Maul ended that fight HIMSELF.
Darth Maul has ragdolled Obi Wan in a similar manner to how Count Dooku has ragdolled him
Anyone who thinks that Darth Maul is a lackey should please go watch the power scaling video on Darth Maul by keyissues.
And I personally believe that Darth Maul’s prime was in the Phantom Menace
I believe he got more powerful after the Phantom Menace, but not in the force or in potential, but in skill and application and experience
As for Darth Vader vs Darth Maul
Vader could win, but it would definitely be a close fight. Darth Vader and Darth Maul both had hallway scenes.
They both had impressive force feats with impressive scale. Darth Vader stopping an AT-AT with the force
And Darth Maul destroying the Venator class star destroyer in Clone Wars season 7.
The reason Sidious didn’t take Darth Maul back as his Sith Apprentice
Dooku was Useful in a political way that Darth Maul currently was not
If Darth Maul was never cut in half then Darth Sidious would have continued to use both Darth Maul and Count Dooku like he was already doing by the time of the Phantom Menace.
He knew Darth Maul was currently disloyal and a threat to his grand design
And last, Darth Maul lost his potential when he was cut in half.
And lastly Darth Sidious vs Savage and Darth Maul
Savage tanked repeated lightning blast from Count Dooku
After he did that he force choked Count Dooku and Asaj Ventress, breaking through both of their force walls at the same time.
I don’t think it was easy for Sidious. If you watch the fight uncut you see Sidious groan in the middle of the fight before he kills Savage.
Sidious also had to separate them before he killed Savage.
That was a mouthful
I welcome any intellectual response
You didn’t lose me, you cast me aside
Creep
Because you failed and were crippled to the point were only Dathomirian magics could give you your body, mind, soul, and potential back yeah.
Pretty sure most of those quotes also come back in clone wars
How many have died because of my actions hits differently after you watch this series he was struggling between what was right and fair and republic senates corruption
I think this is why he never had the yellow sith eyes, he was never fully committed to the dark side. Dooku was very smart as well I imagine he had his own plan to betray palpatine at some point as well

This is a classic example again in Star Wars of I believe I’m doing the right thing and it turns out you’re doing the right thing for somebody else when you think it’s yourself.
No dooku don't do it😢😟😔
You are way to late ..
these little episodes of dooku literally broke my heart.
Jesus, I could hear how heartbroken Dooku was in learning what has happened.
They way he said, "Always." There's a whole philosophy behind that.
I was literally just watching a vid about yaddle being in this area 😂 like a theory if her and dooku fought and if she secretly followed them😂
The best episode of Tales of the Jedi I loved seeing young Dooku, Qui-Gon, and Windu in this show.
I love the show sympathizes with Dooku and make him a fully fleshed out character
Now we all know the truth why dooku became a Sith Lord
A Sith lawd !?
it was for good reason
And Anakin followed in those despair filled footsteps.
Dooku would have been an amazing ally…
Dooku showing a bit of heart
You can basically boil down the entire Star wars timeline to if dooku would have just said something to the council right after this, everything would have been prevented.
If he was like hey look I've done really bad things. The only thing I can do to make up for it is presenting this. It would mean a huge deal to the council.
It's amazing how everything just worked in Palpatines favor during his rise. The master manipulater.
Yadle was dead as soon as she engaged dooku and sidious no matter what dookus answer was. she shouldve contacted the jedi before acting. kinda a flawed episode but it was cool still
I think its because yaddle was too naive
@@reychester1610 imagine living for 800+ years full of wisdom but did something dumb like this
@@darrenlingling1023 wdym? yaddle wasnt 800+ years old, she's far younger than yoda, and not as wise as him. Yaddle was 483 years old. Also she's one of the closest one to dooku, that's why she did something like that.
@@reychester1610 483 is not a small digit to be dumb enough to roll infront bro even if she talked to dooku palp would fry them both to death man there's no logic
@@darrenlingling1023 well, for her species that age is just like her middle age, and she was too naive. But indeed her action was so dumb.
This show really makes me realize how different Dooku and Anakin are. The latter betrayed the system to save the one he cared about, while the former betrayed the ones he cared about to fix the system.
One of the best moments in bring it all together
Dooku still felt guilt for what he did, you can hear it
Ye 😢
Because he says it, bro...
I guess Count Dooku is a good guy that lost his light when Qui Gon was killed.
Fair Point.
Bro this puts Dooku on a new light and shows how compassionate and heartbroken he was no one truly wins who sides with The antichrist of Star Wars
Sidious knew his plans would be doomed if Qui Gon were to train Anakin… Qui Gon, much like Dooku, was more ‘grey’ and they both saw the positives and negatives of both sides. Anakin fell because of obi wans blind loyalty to the order
❤
In short, Dooku: What have I done?
Yoda with hair isn't real, he can't hurt you.
Yoda with hair :
One of the best characters in star wars that never got their story told. I would love to see a live action series about him. I just hope Disney doesn't ruin it like they do absolutely everything else.

"Countless have died because of your actions. And countless more before this is all over"
Dooku: "He could've been a powerful ally."

I love that interaction, truly shows how much Palpatine feared Qui-gon, and knew he had to be delt with for his plans to succeed. He's basically saying there's no way Qui-gon would've turned to the dark side, such a powerful statement.
Watching Tales of the Jedi and seeing Dooku’s decent to the dark side was genuinely tragic.
Everyone's over here talking about dookus personality and how his decisions in life sucked
But me- I wanna talk about how his head is shaped like Sir Christopher Lee's and not his weird clone wars shaped head

Tales of the Jedi
It’s on Disney+ has 6 short episodes.
Tales of the Jedi was so good. I don't think Filoni is perfect by any means, but this dude does get Star Wars, and when he sticks the landing, he nails it better than anyone else making Star Wars today.
“Join me and we could defeat the sith”
Always puzzled me why they said it and now I know now
Love they showed this interaction
Palpatine was plagueis apprentice and killed him, you can tell his biggest fear is getting killed by his apprentice
Can't help but feel sorry for dooku
Wow imagine the gravitas of seeing these dynamics in rhe original prequels.
"You question my loyalty?"
Man, Dooku do you even know what the Rule of Two means? lol
I could only think about his look toward Palpatine on episode 3... that's cold bro
Sidious, as always, very inspiring!
Dooku: you question my loyalty
Sidious: always.
This conversation seems a lot like having a job and talking to your boss in the corporate world
If Yaddle had just ran to the order with the knowledge she gained from this small segment of the scene alone, she could’ve saved the galaxy. Completely tragic.
Dooku was the Anti-Hero
The animated show did great filling in holes and creating the broader story
Everyone crying for dooku rn, tbh I'm just admiring Palpatine, he's such a boss
If Qui-Gonn had not died, He could've convinced Dooku to the light side.
I always thought Dooku was just born old
If you look closely, you can actually see Palpatine’s eyes underneath his hood, and he’s literally looking at the ground lmao
When you study Dooku's past and learn how respected he was, it really brings weight to him turning to the dark side. A seasoned Jedi, after decades of service to the order and who fought with the best, turned to the dark side by his ego and pride.
