This scene really explains why Palpatine was so sure Luke would turn after he defeated Vader until he threw his lightsaber away. If he can get Jedi as wise Dooku & as powerful as Anakin to start the path down the Dark Side after killing in cold blood as the result of a duel, why shouldn’t it have worked a third time.

At this point while Dooku was in his prime all the way to AOTC, even Sidious had his worries about Dooku because he recognized him as too much of an equal rather than an underling. Imagine if Yaddle and Dooku had just turned on Sidious simultaneously. It's not unthinkable at all that they could've just killed him then and there. Dooku was a better duelist and only slightly inferior in the Force. Yaddle being a Jedi Grand Master would've likely compensated for that and more.

Get their hands dirty so that the galaxy can stay clean. Who cares if it's "dishonorable" because they go for an unfair 0 skill advantage due to their height? It's war, and it's war over the fate of the galaxy. It's about who wins and loses. Doesn't matter how. Who cares about skill. This is why Anakin & Ahsoka pmuch carried the Republic in the war lol, cuz they didn't adhere to rules that made their kind weak.
Imagine if Yoda said screw it & went for Dooku's legs in AotC? Clone War prob either woulda never started or would've been over way sooner than 3 years. Or just, if Yaddle went for Dooku's legs here lol. Both scenarios put a massive dampener on Palpatine's scheme and it woulda been gg.

Throughout most of the duel, she was fighting defensively and didn't leave the ground anywhere near as much as Yoda does. That's a great detail because it not only separates Yaddle from Yoda but also shows that although Ataru is the most efficient duelling style for such a small species, they can wield any lightsaber combat form effectively.
Had she lived, Yaddle might have even surpassed Yoda in later life. She was better at conserving her energy for longer duels while Yoda was more focussed on ending a fight as quickly as possible, even if he exhausted himself in the process.

Dooku may not have been Sidious perfect choice apprentice but in the time it took place he was certainly the most ideal. A jedi far better than most in the order, considerably the best duelist in the galaxy and well adept in the force. Makes me wonder if the clone wars would've been possible without him as the lead puppet. Like sure it would still go on but for how long? Long enough for Sidious to turn Anakin? To take more power in the senate? I always underappreciated Dooku but the Clone Wars and Tales of the Jedi really turned that around for me.

Insane to think how much more powerful Dooku got from TPM to AOTC as a Sith Lord. TOTJ demonstrated that he was already well beyond the average Jedi Master. I know, for 20 years we have had books and comics that told us how Master Dooku was the Golden Boy of the Order; second only to Yoda, the most powerful Jedi of his era, a Padawan so powerful and gifted that Yoda broke Jedi convention and his own personal code to take him on as his apprentice while Grand Master and even groomed to replace Yoda. In Dark Rendezvous Yoda describes him as their wisest student and strongest warrior. We know that only Yoda was more skilled in dueling, and that Mace was considered the toppest tier in swordsmanship because he earned a draw against Dooku in sparring *once.* But to see Dooku demonstrate his deflection abilities as a work of art (the traditional flaw of Makashi people point out is its weakness against blasters!), his IQ and BBIQ in deducing so quickly that the guards murdered Master Katri, dropping the tree on the droids to cut the fight short, or swatting away a shuttle as if it were nothing, we finally see how powerful and skilled he was as Master Dooku. Master Yaddle was no slouch. In Legends she was incredibly powerful in the Force, which is also demonstrated in TOTJ. And that while she wasn't on Yoda's level as a duelist, her immense strength and almost peerless knowledge of the Force made her an extremely difficult opponent. Defeating her with little difficulty is a big feather in Dooku's dueling cap.

It seriously is, not only that but remember the time Dooku was fighting against both Obi-Wan AND Anakin double-teaming him during the incident with pikes? He kept Anakin on the defensive (which is not his style as he’s usually on the offensive) and allowed Obi-Wan freedom to attack, which ultimately made him expose some weak points in his form (since Obi-Wan’s style is best suited for counterattacks) it’s honestly amazing how Dooku meticulously think beforehand what the best strategy is to defeat his opponents before actually making the first move.

This does not mean that he must necessarily win/lose with whoever I consider more skilled/less skilled, because there are many other variables including knowledge and power in the force, as well as the psychophysical state of the person dueling. The Dark side, however tends to corrupt people. It corrupted Dooku enough that by the time of the Clone Wars his good intentions were basically gine and he was just pure evil. I think the plot here is a bit weak. How and why could dooku be mad because qui gon died and the guy who sent maul after him is literally right next to him? And he turns to the dark side? Hmm. It doesn’t make sense. If dooku was so upset, he would have killed sidious.

I guess is that he tried to warn the council about maul or I think he did and the fact that Jedi believe that only 2 would be enough when they easily could of sent way more and killed maul and saved his student who he considered a son is what pissed him off they were too arrogant who believed that in no way Shape of form had the sith returned

I’d like it, if they made a scene of Yaddle warning Dooku that Sidious, doesn’t care about him, only sees him as a ‘tool’ and that Sidious, would betray him.

I have to admit, I never watched the Clone wars because of the weird head bobbing when they talk and the weird fighting style, but I wished they were like this animation because it's a upgrade and really great to watch

So did Dooku take Yaddles lightsaber crystal and bleed it? since in canon a Sith's lightsaber is taken not given

Umm… so like Yaddle literally opened the door to her own death? Like when the door shut, couldn’t she have fallen out the other way? Kinda seems like she put a lot of strength Into fainting at Dooku’s feet… just to die… ???
