Yamaha R1 Wrecked Bike Rebuild

Today Im rebuilding My New 2005 Yamaha R1 With full arrow exhaust. It originally had full Carbon Fiber Fairings But I Replaced then with Ebay NT Fairings also fixed the Demon eye Headlights and installed cnc gas cap and cnc levers

I was thinking about grabbing a 'wrecked' bike that needs work and to be inspected and pass, but tentative to take the plunge because of the paperwork process since I've no patience with that stuff!

Why are you using car oil? The additives in that are going to fry that wet clutch.

Say hello to a slippery clutch. Car oil is designed for maximum lubrication because they have dry clutches... most bikes use wet clutches and need Zinc and other additives to help the clutch grip.

you could also change the screws on that thing and put red screws. its a small detail but would make a lot of difference. Anyhow, still a beauty.

You have to use JASO rated oil, car oil will ruin your clutch friction plates.

That oil is for high mileage engines read you owners manual is the best idea. Not Mercedes Benz they require European specific. I used mobile 1 in a bike and my clutch started slipping very quickly

@@byronbaker1491 here in europe we use mobie 1 for cars and is recommended by mercedes and for the motorbikes we use motul,yamalube,motorex,shell,etc..The cutch starts slipping whe you use full synthetic oil
