Good but the latest Fiat engines(140hp ECO pack and above I think) have a smart alternator and won't charge the leisure battery anymore. You need to make sure there is a DC/DC charger booster to do that.
Great video, I've just followed your instruction and it seems that on main hook up there power to sockets but not charging the battery. voltage is showing 12.3 when mains is on and off, any ideas on this one?

Hi I have a Benimar Ducato based MHome with 2 x 80ah gel leisure batteries. With an inbuilt charging system, leisure and starter. My question is... Can I run a 500 watt inverter connect to the gel batteries and use it whilst driving? The Ducato has a 140 amp alternator. Many thanks in advance Tony
Dumb question as not an electrician - I have a 105ah lifos battery in my campervan following a complete discharge and powering it up the bms shows the battery at 13.2v which I believe is good but I don’t understand the state of charge figure if 11% - what does this actually mean soc?
we're taking an older model campervan to a music festival next week for 3 days where there will be no hook up power. How hard on the leisure battery will charging mobile phones be?

When I was in Greece two years ago I could switch the engine on and the leisure battery would charge right up. Now its not the same. I think the fuse may have gone. Any tips on tracing the leads to the fuse OR to establish if my engine battery is hooked up to the leisure battery? Sending you all a 'Motorhome' Christmas hug. :-)

Hi yeah what about if my battery not charging but iv got power still coming in off the mains iv got a Bailey Pageant Provence series 5
what we do is just try the microwave switch to see if power is coming into the van! :D

When plugging in the mains do you need to turn off the main supply switch inside then plug in lead and turn power on to supply the van with mains

He probably did do this, but I think you should unplug power lead when you run the vehicle engine.
