Hello friends We really hope you enjoy this very special video. Walking the Bibbulmun track has been a dream of Steph's for many years. It was one of the most amazing adventures we've ever been on and we are so excited to share this experience with you ❤️ It's our longest video to date and Stephy worked very hard to have this done in a week. From 11 hours of raw footage down to this 45 minute documentary. Anyone that's attempted to edit videos will understand what a mammoth task this is 😳 If you would like to support the work Steph puts in each week please do consider joining us on Patreon, we'd really appreciate your support 🙏 www.patreon.com/GrizzlyNbear?fan_landing=true
That video is inspiring. Well done. Great achievement. I had the pleasure of meeting you and Steph at Nerang campsite. At the time I was hiking E2E to Albany with hiking buddy Duncan. My track name was Cumbrian John. Unfortunately we never made it. Duncan forced to pull out at Dwellingup with a fracture in his leg and I was forced to pull out at Pemberton with a fracture to my back!! Go figure. Wasn't to be. Your video has inspired me to really want to finish my E2E. Just need to heal and I will be back out there to complete it. Thank you.
... and after having travelling the world, hiked the longest trails and completed the most difficult tasks life can throw in your way: one of the most precious things in your life is a partner to share all the unseen moments, wiping away your tears, sharing your laughter and holding your hands in the cold, dark nights.... Thanks a lot for taking us with you on this once-in-a-lifetime-adventure of your life!
we're back from Turkey and I nearly couldn't wait for this episode... It is amazing, it is huge - and I mean it in every possible way. I just can imagine, what a huge walk like this is stressing in every way possible. Cool to see, how you motivated yourself - along the whole way to Albany. This video is just amazing - thank you for sharing!!!
Hello from California. I watch this video and inspired. Much love to both of you, and letting us in to observe a small glimpse of such a wonderful life. Take care of those 🦶🥾
Fantastic job getting to the end, well done. Great video, I have been following along since your old Land Rover got hit and you built the new one. I had a 1967 Safari 110 before I left the UK and moved to Canada. If you ever make it to Ontario, Canada I am more than happy to help out with a parking spot. Looking forward to more of your travels.
What an amaizing achievement for you both, I had tears in my eyes as you hugged in Albany. You must feel so proud. Congratulations and hope you walking wounds heal quickly.
I'm not crying, you're crying! Well done Stephanie!! This is your achievement. Leigh was with you and not unlike my wife and I we really need each other but it was your dream and you did it, own it. We are all so proud of you.
I’m impressed 👏🏻💪🏻….. I once cycled 1100 km with my Son from our residence (Dalfsen in the Netherlands) to Zürich in Switzerland. And I thought that was an achievement, but hats off for 1000 km walking !
Thank you 😊 What an amazing thing to do with your son. Must been lots and lots of elevation. How long it took you? Next to the Bibb there is a 1000km bike track call the Mundabiddi .
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland Hello Steffy and Lee, how Nice to get response from you ! We did 17 days on the trip of which 14 days cycling and 3 rest days. The toughest part was the part in southern Germany and the part in Switserland. The route led mainly along rivers such as the Rhine and the Danube. Greetings Gert. (I Will continue to follow you).
Yes! you did it, you did it. I am so excited for you. You really took us with you. We felt terrible for your knees, feet and ankles. We cheered when you reached each hut, met nice people and it was especially nice when your Mum, Dad and Aunty popped up along the way. As I am a big sook, the tears were filling my eyes, your gratitude was palpable. What an achievement. You are both amazing Steph and Leigh. Good on you both, great effort! I hope your injuries are much better now and you recovered quickly. Loved, loved, loved this vlog! You did this all while filming for us. So you had to carry extra for that. Thank You.🥇🥇 🪱🛶👟🌊🦭♨️⛺⛈👏🎉❤🇦🇺🦘
I've never been a people kinda person, since you are living most people's dream, it is impossible not to feel your achievements as my own, or your memories as my own. I am so fucking glad for you. I'll finish the video later on... You know, life. But I already have a wide open smile.... Oscar Award Winner Stephy!!!!
Merci.
Opening and closing with the same scene, expecially Steph's raw emotion, brought about 2 very different reactions for me. The first time I was a simply an observer knowing what had happened but not really able to understand your feelings. The second time I was moved. Outstanding. Congrats and thanks.
First of all, congratulations for completing your long hike!! Second, thank you for bringing old memories of long hikes I did as a 23 year old Boy Scout Leader, and the feeling of complete communion with nature for days at a time; long journeys on foot, alone or nearly alone a way of finding yourself. I’m 71 years old now and not as mobile as I once was, but almost everyday I drive my three dogs to the mountains near my home to smell the pines and walk the earth. Thanks 🙏🏼
You 2 continue to blow me away with what you're willing to tackle. Congratulations on this epic journey. You're an inspiration to many, many people. Cheers and hope recovery is quick.

Mate, you have got the best attitude to life I've seen for a while! Constantly smiling and even though your ankle was (really quite fucked) you still kept it quiet... like a good man should.. im in bridgetown and would go on a hike with you anytime.. Steph is a gorgeous human being also! Perhaps suggest doing the PCT together and documenting that? Anyway it was a pleasure watching your documentary, I hope to see more from you 👌
Congratulations! Amazing! This is a story that you will be telling to your grandchildren! Her raw emotions are priceless! Such a love story! Wishing you a long and happy life together! See you when you have fully recuperated! Rest well! Loved this so much!
Absolutely amazing and very inspiriting, been a fan for quite a while, but this blog is one one my favourites. Glad to see you back in Aust, hope to see you down the track.. Scott
well done GNB what a great commitment to each other, to the track and for capturing some of those moments that you shared with us. Hope the ankles get better !
Bravo vous avez fait quelque chose d’extraordinaire. Les cloques me rappelle les marches que l’on faisait à l’armée. Bonne suite et je me réjoui pour les prochaines vidéos que j’adore. 😘😘
Amazing video ... raw emotion, endurance ... loved it!! But there's more. I have lived in WA for 70 years (Perth and not all that far from Mumbalup and Balingup and I never realised how epic the Bibbulmun track is ... a real eye opener ... thank you Leigh and Steph👍🙂
Wow Leigh & Steff, what an inspiration you both are! This would be your best video by far. I particulary enjoyed the WA landscape, it's obviously enjoyed a fair amount of rain recently, looking so green & the wild flowers in bloom. Huge congratulations to you both!!
I have no words to describe how I feel, I just wish I could enjoy a life like yours - I love Australia and people like you who live a full life. God bless you

Congratulations for living and sharing that experience! What beautiful moments! It really touched my heart! It has reminded me so much of the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage of about 700 km in the north of Spain that I did with my partner a few years ago !!! Congratulations for your successes, for being who you are and for sharing it and being an inspiration !!! Many thanks! I wish you the best !!! 🙏🏼❤️
Superb video as always. Really enjoyed watching. Best wishes from us here in France. Vidéo fantastique comme toujours. Bonne chance de nous tous ici en France.
Great doco Steph and Leigh. Loved seeing our beautiful country through your eyes and getting the opportunity of catching up along the way. Gave us a chance to to take in the beauty of our South West. Magnificent job, great achievement and so proud of you both ❤️🥰😘
Thx for sharing such a lovingly edited film capturing the highlights and lowlights of your trip. You mention discomfort, pain and exhaustion so casually when I'm sure it is overwhelming during the moment. I've become a fan and look forward to seeing a few more of the moments you have captured and shared.
I started watching thru hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail years ago and now all over the planet. It's a little slice of wonderful to watch a couple of my favorite overlanders thru hike a trail that I've not seen. Thanks for sharing your experience 😊.
Frenchie diving into a 1/4 pounder is hysterical. So very happy and proud of you both you are Legends. I will be glad to volunteer for a support role if you do a through hike in the USA.
Complimenti ragazzi. Siete meravigliosi, siete grandi!!!!
Hi both, we are proud of you two completing the 1000km track. Thanks for sharing your experiences. This spring we did the 500km Pieterpad in the Netherlands and that was a very rewarding experience too, but we also reached our limits physically, although we have now decided to do me hiking. Keep up your good work on the making of videos.
Good job on the quality of filming and well edited. Clearly your life balance with being on the road and the necessity of weekly RUclips posts is working well. I think not having the pressure of major new boat builds / costs and other complications makes for a longer term happy experience in trying to live and do what you are doing , and you are doing it well, as I am sure all your viewers will agree.
Thank you for sharing your adventures. I’m sure that the extra weight of the video equipment, batteries, etc. was an added burden to carry. Beautiful country and courageous hearts. Great job of walking those distances every day with those backpacks!
To see the emotion and relief in both of you is simply lovely. Really well done, I have loved watching via Patreon. You are an amazing couple. Thanks for sharing your personal challenge with us. Chris
