When u love what you do there’s no such thing as burned out! Sure there’s not always good days but, the passion and drive has to be there or else it’ll never work! Been in health care for 13 years I just love it!
I think you can still get burned out, regardless of whether you love it. Mostly because of all the extra crap (ridiculous amounts of paperwork) plus understaffing. It's hard to enjoy doing what you love when you are having to do the work of 2-3 people and don't have time to do things properly/the way you'd like to do them.

Hello. Love, love, love, this content!!!! Such an inspirational story, and this is coming from an aspiring nursing student! I’m a little confused though, she discussed that her network is about $800k. Is this her total income from her ebooks, and her tube channel up to date or this year alone? Thank you so much for continuously posting your videos.
Net Worth is what you get when you subtract your liabilities (your debts like mortgage and loans) from your assets (like the equity in your home if you were to sell it, the value of your investments, and any cash you might have in your savings account). Income is what you earn from a job or sales in a business. That is not the same as net worth. Her income from her job is around $200k/yr. She also has income from other sources, such as brand deals, books sales, and other business earnings.
😱You answered my question!! Thank you so much. I am currently a surgical tech and have been working in the O.R for over 10 years. I have been taking a class per semester and stopped because of COVID. I not only plan to return back to school, but I'm trying to convince my husband to have a little faith and go to nursing school with me. We’ll see how it goes. 🤞
And here I am living in a shithole of a state getting a write-up for bringing up travel nursing and California to my preceptor lol Can't wait to move to California.
Whoa, you got written up for that? Just goes to show how threatened they are by nurses leaving garbage pay behind to greener pastures. This is also why I am extremely careful about discussing future plans with others. It sucks, but it’s the safest bet.
I actually am one semester from graduating in clinical lab science which would probably be similar to the biomedical laboratory science. Unfortunately, we make less money than nurses. The range can be anywhere from $20-$30 for a new graduate depending on the state (California and NYC pay more than this range). But there are tons of jobs due to many retirements in clinical laboratory field nationwide in the United States. Very easy to get a job after you graduate and get ASCP certified.
It is a great field to get into! I started off making $25/hr after graduating in NC in clinical laboratory science. After 1 year of experience, I started doing traveling positions and finally have financial freedom. I am enjoying working in this field now.
@@NursesToRiches Thanks! But it is important especially post COVID. When I worked in Texas at a Trauma 1, I started out as a new grad @23/hr while a new grad RN here in Ca can make over 60/hr. Now, I make over 100/hr here in Northern Ca. So y’all nurses, fight for what is rightfully earned ( higher pay and patient to nurse ratio)!
You don't need to have an advanced degree to be a charge nurse. You just have to have leadership qualities. I was assigned the role of charge nurse 6 months into my job as a new grad.
@@NursesToRiches thats great to know..I'm taking Physiology 141 and lab now for prerequisites for a nursing program at University of Hawaii. I was a business major 12 years ago..but I'm an EMT in Hawaii for now. Nursing just looks like the way to go! One last question, is FNP or NP stuck at salaries usually? Sounds like RN, you have the option to work alot of overtime?
FNP and NP nurses can either be salaried or hourly employees. Some work in a hospital setting and some work private practice. There's many options. But if you go that route make sure you are doing it because it's something you will really enjoy and not for the money because I work with nurses that got their FNP and decided to stay as staff nurses because they earn more as staff nurses at our hospital than what they've been offered elsewhere to work as FNPs.
Hi, maybe my question is out of the topic but may I just ask which is better 40hrs per week or 36 hours per week contract? Your response well be much appreciated.
We typically contribute 17% of our income toward our 401k and increase this number by 1% every year because we get a raise of anywhere from 2.5% to 5%. Our hospital uses Vanguard as their retirement brokerage firm. But when we invest our after-tax income, we do it through Fidelity.

Yall Nurses (outside of CA) need to unionize! You guys need to be paid what yall are worth!
Preach!
Higher patient to nurse ratio? That's not good! Do you mean the other way around?
Did she become a charge nurse from experience and because she has a FNP? or do good RN's with no NP or FNP can become a charge nurse?
SHE IS A NURSE FOR WHAT ? SHE LOOKS LIKE THIRTY YEARS OF AGE ! WOW ❤
Yeah she's amazing!
Would anyone kindly share their path to a BSN? Like, which school and how much tuition was?
What percent do you typically put in from each paycheck to your index funds and what platform do you use for your investments? TY
We typically contribute 17% of our income toward our 401k and increase this number by 1% every year because we get a raise of anywhere from 2.5% to 5%. Our hospital uses Vanguard as their retirement brokerage firm. But when we invest our after-tax income, we do it through Fidelity.
I need her energy level.
