What a lot of home health nurses do once they get the hang of the work is get a fulltime HH job that pays hourly or salary, then get another per diem home health job that pays per visit. When the salary job gets slow or if a patient cancels a visit, you can pick up extra $$ working the per diem job.

If you've student loans, then pay off the loans first because of the interest upon graduating. If you do not have loans then I would max out personal IRA. Independent from employer. You can ask for a 1 dollar more a hour bc employer not contributing there "1-3%" and save the remaining you would had use to max out for 401k towards an emergency fund
As a Seasoned RN when did it co.e to just the money. No one talks about the experiences. But in hindsight you have no experience. Nursing skill and knowledge is not gained I one year. In order to be an expert it's 5 years. It's a sad to see where nursi g is going. The desperate need for nurses has caused this money grab.
I have a question about the OT after 8 hrs. Does it apply to all facilities of CA? Or does the job position you applied to have to be an 8hr position in order to be paid OT after 8hrs? What if you signed up for a 12hr position? I'm so used to 12 hr shifts having 4days off and I would like to keep it like that lol. And just sign up extra if I feel like it. Work less time for more money.
I dislike how numbers that most put up in the 6 digit region is the most unrealistic for those not living in the most populous states in the US. Thumbnails appear misleading and in a way convey a vain, self-seeking, monetary objective to working as a nurse. Unsubbed.

Your 401k does not automatically roll over from one job to another but you can roll it over yourself and bring the funds over to your new job's 401k by completing a form through your old 401k brokerage firm. But, yes, you should start maxing out your 401k right away.

Wait… $150K in debt, for nursing school?
I know 😵too much school debt for my blood
I think I may want to try home health for the flexibility.
That's the best part of home health: flexibility. It feels like you're your own boss and you work at your own pace.
Put that extra money in real estate
That’s what I did!!
How?
I swear he has an accent, where are you originally from? I’ll be shocked if it’s America

I hate acronyms.
I heard Southern California, and immediately stopped watching it.
I dislike how numbers that most put up in the 6 digit region is the most unrealistic for those not living in the most populous states in the US. Thumbnails appear misleading and in a way convey a vain, self-seeking, monetary objective to working as a nurse.
Unsubbed.
