It's very disappointing that you can't use the iPads excellent speakers when extending the display, at the same time you can't turn off the display for a true clamshell mode, frustrating. I connected my iPad to my 4k HP display with a displayport to USB-C cable but the text on the monitor is so small as to be unusable, there doesn't seem to be a setting to adjust this on the iPad or on the monitor. I have a native USB-C monitor in another location that I will try, but so far my experience with the long-awaited "true external display support" has been underwhelming. I have a iPad Mini 5, which still has the old lightening connector. I have my monitor hooked up to an inexpensive Roku streaming stick. I use this to “cast” my iPad screen onto the monitor. It also works with my ancient iPad Air 2, so I would imagine that it would work with most of the iPads out there. This is a very imperfect solution, as it just mirrors the screen, and it has large black “bars” on each side, but it does make video editing (and watching!) much easier, and it is good for making presentations. It continues to frustrate me that $1000 an IPad Pro with a high powered M2 chip still can’t do multiple windows and desk tops as well as my $100 Chromebook! With the proliferation of PWAs I find myself myself using my Chromebook for most things.
I just made a new video trying to guess what could be the cause of it. I am guessing only based on comments of others in my videos and what I read in Apple’s community discussion site…it could be the compatibility of the HDMI cable or the usb-c adapter, or the screen’s resolution. Here’s the link to my new video ruclips.net/video/B9ikKspqH4k/видео.htmlsi=BAq6bCihTT5WmAnZ

is old ipad like 2020 support monitor full display?
nope
Arrangement option not showing. What can i do?
I just made a new video trying to guess what could be the cause of it. I am guessing only based on comments of others in my videos and what I read in Apple’s community discussion site…it could be the compatibility of the HDMI cable or the usb-c adapter, or the screen’s resolution. Here’s the link to my new video ruclips.net/video/B9ikKspqH4k/видео.htmlsi=BAq6bCihTT5WmAnZ
