I`m not from Hull, but have traveled to quite a few other Cities in the world. London - naturally. Rome ( a fantastically amazing City ), New York City ( everybody`s already been there on account of the vast number of films made there, so its surprisingly boring. Ie, you won`t see anything there that you haven`t seen before ). Mexico City ( there`s no end to it )..... I`ve been to The City of Saint James of The Field of Stars ( Santiago de Compostela ) - another quite wonderful place. And I`ve seen and heard many remarkably wonderful things in those ( mostly ) remarkable Cities. I`ve been to many Spanish Festivals ( and have no idea, to this day, how it is that 99% of Spaniards are not deaf ). But I`ve never seen nor heard anything better than "Made in Hull." It is a credit to you.
alan vickers It was capturing the atmosphere of Hull Fair. I don't reckon David Whitfield, as talented as he was, released any material that you would associate with the sensation of being twirled around on the waltzers 😊 Does he feature at the point where the famous Hull faces are projected, towards the end of the film? I haven't been able to spot him. Having said that, the 3 different buildings showed different people.
alan vickers ronnie pickering put Hull on the map! I know you're gonna ask whose ronnie pickering? .Hes Hulls culture & affairs ambassador that's who !
An incredible start to the City of Culture year! And you have a brilliant video, it was great to see it from that angle, straight on, I realised I'd missed the full effect of some parts from where I was stood. ruclips.net/video/BHmoSuFRd6g/видео.html If you would like to see some different angles and a compilation of the other installations around the city please watch my 'Made In Hull' video above. We Are Hull! Can't wait for what this year brings!
