Just so everyone knows, 2A had more competitors than all the other X Division styles this year. I’m just glad this division is growing and not dying. While I will admit I was pulling for my good friend Connor, and predicted him to win, i am glad of the direction this division in participating numbers is heading in
Evan definitely leveled up in 2A the last year or so but to call this a winning FS is pure ignorance on judges part. Happy to see good participation in US 2A this year though, and to see that anyone is paying attention at all lol
I can only hope the judges acknowledge their lack of understanding of 2a and ignorance towards it... Would really love to see them even attempt to do 5 legitimate 2a tricks
The more I watch this freestyle the more I love it. Reminds me so much of a 2000 era Joseph Harris. Always doing more than just tricks, Evan and Joe put on a show!
This was a clean 1999-2000 level 2A freestyle at best... and shows a huge lack of knowledge in the judging for 2A. Connor, on the other hand, (who got 2nd) had a highly technical freestyle with modern tricks and still somehow got beat on the TE.. quite embarrassing for US 2A...stop over clicking this guy.
@@ArjanYoyomanalso for little explanations on 2a, longer the length of combo and higher the number of wrapping strings around leg, wrist, or neck will make the trick exponentially more difficult. longer combo will hurt your wrist more, and wrapping elements requires very precise skill of multitasking and reading the rhythms.

He also repeated tricks a lot, and his performance evals should have tanked for it, on par with John Datoy at best imo.
He uses the music and interacts with the crowd a lot more than other people which gives him more bonus points
I know very little about 2a but i found this one much more entertaining to watch than the routine of the guy who got second place
