F150 Electric Power Steering Rack Cheap Fix

Ford F150 power steering internal belt replacement on the truck. After checking basic things like power and ground I diagnosed it with a scan tool. You could diagnose by removing the cover. I loosened the 2 Torque to Yield bolts that hold the rack and removed the inner tie rod end. (Ford says to use new mounting bolts) You might not need to loosen the mounting bolts but it is a tight fit. There were 2 dealers on ebay who listed the belt. I bought from someone who sells seals and parts for power steering. I needed a belt and a clamp for the boot. It is possible that the codes would clear by themselves but i did not wait. The scan tool in the video is the Topdon Topscan. You can buy them on amazon for less that $100. I used a 5mm allen socket and a T27 torx bit. I did not disturb the alignment.
