    I’m not Irish, I’m Mexican/Native American who was adopted by an Irish/Italian/German family, and I’ve always loved the bagpipes and drums. Hearing it from the FDNY all my life back home in NYC. Especially after 9/11. This is just beautiful!

      My joke is that I am Half Irish Half German and all Italian...but I love all my American people!
      I really think that the weekend closest to the 4th of July should be American culture day when we celebrate all the awesome cultures that have been blended together in our Big old melting pot!

      culls33 That's because in the 1920's after independence the brave IRA beat up and in at least one case murdered anyone who dared show one. You do not need to kill many people for showing a flag for them to get the message. By contrast the Irish Club in our English town has flown the Irish Republics flag 24/7 for 30 years and nobody gives a damn.

    • @freebeerfordworkers
      @freebeerfordworkers 7 лет назад +2

      Numpty Then you are left with the cross of St George on a white ground which has always been the flag of England and looks reasonable enough.

    As an indigenous Irishman I camnot get my head around the fact that in a celebration of our patron saint we see tricolours, stars and stripes and various other flags which bear absolutely no relationship to Saint Patrick. Where is the red saltire? St. Patrick's flag. Why are the participants dressed in tartan, feather bonnets and glengarrys. All Scottish attire. Why are they playing

      p.s why are you complaining about Irish Americans playing bagpipes in america they have more claim to the bagpipes than you do as a ignorant dumb Scotsman, sheesh how many of you asses must i correct
