Did you use actual chocolate or chocolate flavored wafers?? I see a lot of people using wafers and don't know if the flavor is good once it melts in the milk 🤔 thank you for such a beautiful tutorial and those molds look so easy to use for a beginner like me 😁😊
Yeah that's a great question... you can use real chocolate if you're experienced with tempering and the result is actually quite beautiful and tasty. I use compound (coating) chocolate almost exclusively, and will indicate otherwise. There are definitely grades of compound chocolate, and some are actually from luxury chocolate brands (callebaut, cacao barry) all the way down to less expensive brands. I use a brand right in the middle called Mercken's. I find that it's the perfect compromise in terms of taste, quality, and price. As for the taste, I think if you use Mercken's you'll be quite surprised in how good it tastes, esp with the white chocolate, which I use mostly in this tutorial. 😀 Have fun baking
@@Sugarologie thank you so much for.your answer 🙏🏼😊 can't wait to try it with the chocolate you recommended since I don't have any (and I mean ANY) experience with tempering chocolate 😅😅 thank you again and happy new year 🎉😊
@@Sugarologie thank you for such a great tutorial! I dont understand if you use real chocolate for the shells why would you temper it in this case? the silicone mold gives the shine already, and the "snap" that comes from tempering is not necessary since the bomb is going to be melted in hot milk rather than to be bitten. I always wonder that...
Yes, they are definitely great but a little more difficult to find, which is why it took me so long to post this 🙂 I wish I could have done it last month for you all instead!
They came out so cool, thank you for this!! Quick question though, if I use TJ real chocolate and temper it, would it work with these plastic 3-part moulds or it has to be compound chocolate? 🤔 I messed up and tried with real chocolate (not tempered) and it did NOT come off the mould 🤣 so I was wondering if tempering might help
Yeah, so anytime you use real chocolate for any purpose where you need it to firm up you need to temper it. Esp in this case, because you're making a hollow sphere that has to be pretty stable. I use real chocolate all the time with these molds so you should be 👌🏼
oooh so that's an interesting question. The working temp for isomalt is 335 deg F, whereas PET plastic melts at 500. I know they use extreme heat to make the molds (they call it thermoforming) That being said, I don't know if you'll deform the mold a little with repeated high temperature use. If you plan on doing it, I would test a corner of the mold that you don't care about to view how it reacts to melted isomalt - perhaps it's fine. But's thats exactly what I'd do before using it to make tea bombs.
Ok my suspicions were correct - I'm researching the molds and they say not to expose them to temperatures above 122. So tea bombs are out for these molds 😔
I hope it works for you ! 🤞🏼 I tried using mine today to make hot choc bombs... and it was a complete disaster! All my shells broke trying to take them out of the tray! They just didn’t want to budge! 😭 those soft plastic covers came off like a breeze but my chocolate shell was not havin any of it ! 🙄
Why does my 3pc mold set not work for me 😭😭😭 I spent 4 hours today faffing around trying to force the molds out of the tray! The soft plastic thing came off first leaving the shell stuck behind in the tray 😳😳 why??!!! I even left it in the fridge for longer but eventually I got so irritated and gave up trying to save the ‘spheres’ 😭😭🙄 they all broke ! Mine never just ‘slid out’ like yours did.
Maybe needs more chocolate to making it thicker or maybe you used the wrong mold like Tasty Pastry Kitches mentioned on this video. I watched a video someone mentioned the time and recommend 5 minutes, in this video she said 11 minutes. Don't throw away the used chocolate, melt it again and reused.
@@elizabethalvarado3837 I followed the instructions on the pack 😊 filled chocolate upto the Marking just as you should. So everything was done the correct way but it’s just a case of my shells not wanting to come off of the mold 😅😳 you would think I had concrete mixed into my chocolate mix 😂😂
They scammed me, that company never sent my molds gave me a Invalid tracking number from FedEx. It's all bogus. I'm pissed they didn't even reply to my emails.
I mentioned these moods to you last week.. could it be you seen my comment so it influenced you to go out and buy it? Was I the reason behind this wonderful idea? I’m going to say YES and take credit just because it makes me feel good!

@@rutgenesis real chocolate has to be tempered or at room temp, it'll be sticky. for home use it'd be fine. btw, i only use callebaut.
You’re too underrated! This looks so good!
wish i knew of these molds.. looks so much nicer than the sphere silicon types.

It's from Amazon: amzn.to/35ZLj8Z 😀
Hello! Nice work O_O!!! Where I can buy this perfect mold?
Here www.tastypastry.kitchen/about/

I love these but I also love your black gift box, I'm struggling to find a box like this could you tell me where it's from ? Thanks
Yes, it's right here: amzn.to/3q1SMvU 😀
Do you know if they will ever ship to the US? It’s hard to find quality cake supplies in the Us.
I love your channel. Can you made some grinch hot chocolate bombs please. Thanks in advance😀
Can these three part molds be used to make isomalt domes for tea bombs?

I love that you didn't forget the sun ☀
Haha that was actually my cousins suggestion. After I showed them all to her she just stared at me and was like “where’s the sun?!” 🥺
Haha 😂 Thanks, cousin! 😉👍
Hermoso !!
; )
Just placed my order, is this mold work for all the hot chocolate bomb as well.

Cuteeeeeeeeeee
Ps: when did we only have one dwarf planet?
Oh I just wanted to include Pluto, but yes there are others!
😁😁💗💗💗
Do you prefer these molds over the silicone molds?
What diameter are the molds?
Approx 2.75 inches or 70mm 😀

Hmmm it may be the type of chocolate bc it sounds like you’re doing everything right regarding the tray.
@@Sugarologie I have tried 4 kinds of chocolate 😂🤓 I just don’t understand why 😟 surely thers got to be an easier way to remove the molds.
OMG, it’s not just me! Not sure what I’m doing wrong. 😩 The silicone just pulls out without the chocolate and didn’t slide out easy.
I want the bit $35 on shipping.....maybe I'll wait and get them for Mothers day

The one thumbs down is the one planet you left out. 😩
Oh the hypothetical planet?
Which one?! She used the NASA website.
How much are the molds in US dollars?
Using an online converter, it comes out to $13.53 US
But shipping is like 25.00
