First of all, I'm in love with your little tutorials for these! Your voice is rather relaxing to listen to as well. Secondly, like others have said, I don't/can't use cow milk. (lactose intolerance sucks) I can, however, drink goat milk. I heat mine slowly, in 30 second intervals with high heat, stirring between heats. I've found it makes for a much creamier hot cocoa, too. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on some, I'd love to hear your thoughts! It can be kind of pricey, but I think it is well worth it for the taste!
I love goats milk and goat cheese! I've never had hot chocolate with it though....aaaaand I definitely want to try it now. And thank you so much for you kind words 🥰
Tried my first bombs today and let me just say-- you make this look *so* easy, ma'am! 😆 I'm going to need lots of practice to get mine presentable enough to gift them. Wish me luck! 🤞
I got mini molds at Michaels. You need 2 bombs for 1 average/large coffee cup. My big molds were ordered November 18th and they'll be here Dec 5th. Worth the wait
I'm pretty upset. I was late to the trend and decided they'd make a good gift for my mom for Christmas. I ordered the molds on Nov. 24 and they're supposedly going to arrive this week but when I check, they haven't even shipped yet! I'm never going to get them in time... ugh. Jemma, can you let us know if you have any good hacks for doing these without a mold? I've looked at a few methods but none seem to actually be good hacks.
Oooh that's a tough one. The advantage of a mold is that it gives you a great shape and shine on your surface. I have seen people using plastic ornaments, you know the ones that come in two pieces (top and bottom) but they were quite large. I wonder if those are more readily available for you though...
@@Sugarologie Hi, Adriana! Just want to thank you for the many ideas you've been sharing. You have inspired me a lot with your creativity. I enjoy this new hobby, making hot chocolate bombs, to the point that I'm already getting orders and will start my first delivery tomorrow. How amazing is that? It's awesome! I'm so glad I found your channel. 💖 Thank youuuuuuuu!
I would say no more than 2-3 drops - it really is pretty strong! You can taste test it after adding to see if you'd like a stronger minty flavor though :)
How far ahead do you make these if you were making them as gifts? Just found this video and it's definitely the best one I've seen so far! I plan to make some for Valentine's Day, and would love to get ahead of the game!
They're really quite stable. You can keep them at room temp, and I wrap mine in foil and keep them in a ziplock bag until I'm ready to put them in their presentation boxes. At least a couple weeks if you use non-ganache or cream-based fillings. 😀
These looks amazing, can't wait 2 try making these Hot Chocolate Bombs, can u tell where can I buy the present mould, I look on line only can find the normal rounds ones... x
Hey The design is cute and really like it. It's very creative and awesome. How many days will the hot chocolate bombs last? Looking forward to hearing you soon Bernadeth
I suppose you can, but I never have... a cool and dry place is usually ok for the cocoa filled ones. The ganache one I do keep in the fridge if I don't eat it that day. Freezing chocolate usually presents more problems than it solves as the condensation that forms after you thaw it can ruin the surface of your chocolate. Can you keep them in an airtight container in a cool and dry place instead?
@@Sugarologie yes even I thought it wouldn't wrk back here...but to my surprise it did...pls give me some ideas for New Year's too!!! Thankyou so much❤️
I know this was directed at her, but I can give you a suggestion for this! I believe you can buy powdered apple cider mix, which could be used in place of hot cocoa mix. Or if you just want to add a bomb to real apple cider/juice, you could fill the bomb with caramel sauce, cinnamon, spices, etc. That caramelized white chocolate she used for the first bomb would actually work well with apple flavor, I think!
Aww I don't sell them but I would check your local chocolate shops and bakeries, small businesses would love some support right now and I know they are selling them 💝

People are really loving these bombs...molds are sold out everywhere
😊 yes, its been a little difficult trying to source these molds! I'm sure the suppliers are like "what are all these people doing with half spheres?!"

Hi, thanks for sharing. How many peppermint drops would I use if im trying to use peppermint extract for the mint ones?

Bernadeth
How long will the ganache one last for?
If it's not eaten within a day, I keep them in the fridge for about a week, since the ganache has cream in it. :)
I have seen that others cut their molds and it become easier to coat the molds.
Yes, that's a great method! I like to keep them together as I'm more efficient that way 👍🏼
How much peppermint oil would you use for 8 oz chocolate
A few drops should be good. Oils are typically super concentrated. 😀
Thankyou.
Can you freeze the moldes chocolate or the finished product?

Where did you buy the red box ?
I got that box from Amazon, they have some cute gift boxes, but sometimes Michael's has a good selection of open boxes if you want those. :)
