That’s a brilliant idea. You made chocolate hearts, which are perfect for Valentine’s Day, but these could be easily adapted to fit any holiday. Thanks so much for sharing!!
You did an amazingly good job. You gave very detailed explanations and the end results are beautiful. And I love the added touch of the edible gold that you added.
LOVE the idea of using powdered strawberries to color/flavor the chocolate, I would have never even thought of that! I got the shallow pink geo heart mold for Xmas, can't wait to use it for Valentine's Day bombs :)
My daughter and I made your hot cocoa bombs for Christmas gifts and our friends/family and they loved it. We will try these for Valentines Day. Thanks for your videos and love the idea of the Strawberry powder 🍓👍
Beautiful! I just ordered 4 molds from your store! Can’t wait to receive them! Super happy to be able to support your passion! Love your videos! Happy New Year! 🎊
Are you making your own hot coco mix? If so what are you coco/sugar ratios? Also can your camera be moved closer so those of us who have trouble seeing can see what you’re doing better?? Thanks for continued great videos...!
Oh I'm so glad you told me about my camera... I will try to zoom in more to help out 😀 To make your own cocoa mix, I usually do a 2:1 ratio of sugar to cocoa powder, so 2 cup sugar (powdered or granulated) to 1 cup of cocoa powder. You can also add whole milk powder if you recipients will be using water. With cocoa bombs, there's typically enough sugar in the compound white chocolate, so I just either add a cocoa mix (like Swiss Miss), just cocoa powder, or just extra chocolate shavings. I hope that wasn't confusing, but I suppose I'm getting at that these are truly customizable to your palette and liking :)
@@Sugarologie not confusing at all and I agree that the sugar content is pretty high already, almost like drinking chocolate syrup...I also agree that the bombs are very customizable, even just the shell and marshmallows with nothing else added...and thanks so much for being open to adjusting the camera! Happy new year!!
🥰😍 So cutee! Made my sister watch it she loves how you made them! I've been wanting to make Valentine's ones because I have a lot of hot cocoa powder 😂🤣 awesome video as usual! 🖤❤️🖤❤️
Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful video! They all turned out so pretty. Can’t wait to make some for Christmas gifts! Hope I can pull it off. I’m a little concerned about getting the chocolate on the back correctly. Is it okay to mix something like Ghirardelli white melting wafers with almond bark? Do you recommend something else? This will be my first try. I want them to taste good, but also need to watch my budget. Also, loved how you used the freeze dried strawberries for coloring and flavor too! ❤️
I saw Randy Who Makes Candy keep his compound chocolate sitting on top of a heating pad set on the lowest setting 🌡️. It maybe helpful for other projects.
Oh yeah sure! So that one is from Michael’s. They were kinda cleaned out last time I went - but check next to the shredded paper/wrapping paper section. They have all kinds of cool boxes for you 😀
What type of multi colored mini marshmallows are those? The ones you added to the strawberry powder mixed into the white chocolate hearts? I also use both freeze dried strawberries & raspberries powder in my bombs. It’s so delicious Your work is stunning 😍
Hey NatalieVegas1965! So those are dehydrated marshmallows that I got from amazon. They come in a huge bag but they're fun to have around, I add them to my kid's treats sometimes, like rice krispies and stuff. And yes I love love love freeze dried fruits too 🥰
Hello, could you please tell me the temperature of the melted chokolate? as my chokolate slides down in the from and I can't make the sides, they are so thin and transparant.
This is compound chocolate, so the temp is usually around 95 degs F when I'm working with it. It may also depend on the type of chocolate that you're using, but you want it to be fluid and slightly thicker. When I melt chocolate, you'll usually see me pick up some with a spatula and let it run off to gauge the consistency... I suppose try to imagine a chocolate fountain, perhaps a little thicker. I hope that helps 😉💝
If your hands do run really warm, and I know this may be difficult at first, but you'll want to limit touching the chocolate as little as possible after it's set. I like to get those little silicone cupcake liners so they kind of sit inside and are propped up without rolling around. Hopefully that helps!
So I ran out of the geometric hearts, but you can find similar ones on Amazon. The bubbly looking hearts are from my shop, and I still have some of the exact kind I use in this video if that's what you're looking for. :)
Hello! I’ve been unable to find your store to order the molds. Can you help me, please? Safari is saying that it’s not there. I googled it and don’t see it. Appreciate any help. Thank you ❤
Where is the best place to buy the boxes from? I have looked a lot and I don’t want to spend 4 or 5 bucks on one box for packaging these and finding the right size is a headache.
Hey Brandi! So this box I picked up at Michael's. Yeah packaging can be pricey but I've found the only way around it is to buy in bulk if you can. I'll keep an eye out for packaging tho.
hey. love your tutorial. once I remove the chocolate from the refrigerator, it starts melting in 10 mins. how do i prevent that? like, my cake pops or hot cocoa bombs can't be stored outside the refrigerator. pls reply :)
Hello Navya, I'm not sure how to make a heart shape out of chocolate without some sort of mold... I've been thinking about how to accomplish this, and I've seen people make bombs using Kinder egg shells, but short of that I'm thinking you'll need some sort of surface to get a heart shape. Even heart shaped silicone cupcake liners may work. Or food safe plastic ornaments? I hope that helps 💝
You are definitely working in a cold home environment because your hands must be freezing not to melt the chocolate you're handling taking them out. My fingers instantly melt fingerprints into any chocolate I touch...
I can work with chocolate in summer with bare hands lol. I have really cold hands all the time - I did a tiktok video showing me and my cousin working with chocolate. We measured - her hands are in the mid 90s and my hands are in the upper 80s. She was melting chocolate pretty quickly and mine never budged. I'm a real life Elsa. 🥶 But for normal people, you can wear gloves to mitigate the heat transfer from your hands.
This is compound chocolate so much easier to work with since I don't have to keep it tempered. When I do work with real white chocolate though I work in small amounts and very quickly until I get the hang of the process. 🙂
So I have very cold hands, I did a test with my cousin who has "normal" hands and she smudges her chocolate too. Try to keep the chocolate cool, work in a cool environment, and it's great that you already you wear gloves. You're not the only one - many people ask me about this. Other than working very quickly as well, I'll try to think of other tips 😉
Thank you very much for your tutorials. I don't know if you are aware or gave permission but I saw this video used in a FB advertisement selling molds. Your voice was removed & speed up your tutorial.
So I don't sell these, but I've seen pricing from around 5-12 per bomb, depending on the complexity and ingredient quality. A four pack for 25-30 is also a popular price, but it's usually packaged up really nice too. 😀
That’s a brilliant idea. You made chocolate hearts, which are perfect for Valentine’s Day, but these could be easily adapted to fit any holiday. Thanks so much for sharing!!
