I switched to d'addario NYXL strings 12 months ago, 35 gigs later and they're still amazingly bright. Over yhe years I've used rotosound swingbass, elite stadiums, dunlop super brights and yhese NYXL's are by far the best.

Everyone knows that person who claims to have a bass they put strings on when they got it and years later are still using the same strings. Whether or not it's true, I've seen some sets with locals that suggests it's possible if not probable.
