Glad you're back making videos, Ross! You've helped me so much learning to animate. I made an animated short during lockdown, put it into festivals and got a pitch meeting with a major TV channel... they said no, but I got one!
i love you ross, im glad to see you back after a few years. the one tutorial ive been waiting for and i reckon you could explain in good way for many to learn. and that is a course on structuring an animation series and what to start animating first in that process to not get overwhelmed. ive tried myself doing this by watching your basic tutorials, but since i know youve made a couple of series maybe you can give some insight and inspiration for people like me struggling to get that first step moving in making a series. either way cant wait for more from you, you imo make the best content on this
The funny part is, it seems to start with _everything but_ animating/animation… Writing, story arcs, storyboarding, directing, producing, designing what it all looks like etc… There’s _a reason_ most animation is (usually) created by a team of people (however big or small,) - these are all separate skill sets that are employed to create the network animations, that we all know/love/are inspired by/inspired “to make the next ______”... _I’m not_ saying one can’t animate something by themselves, but.. _it is_ important to keep these things in perspective. Don’t go expecting to make the next Adventure Time episode by yourself…
Thanks man, I want to say thanks you are a great inspiration to improve my walk cycle animation, it will be nice if you make a tutorial of that walk and spin animation you did long time ago.
Hello Ross, I've follow you for a time ago, and i love your work, i wanna say thx to you for the lessons cause' you inspire me to work as animator (I have master a bit my skills as animator this year and every time i learn more), yesterday i did an animation for my master's degree classwork that you can see in my channel, and it had a great recivement in facebook, i think i'll work on more animations like that one, and it was thx to you and other animators, once again thx, is great to see you uploading videos again. 🖤 Sry for my broken english btw
Ross, hi, thank you very much for the lesson, please tell me, and if I make two characters and, for example, make them walk cycles, will I then be able to throw them two into one scene with the background? Or let's say I have a character who is walking, and then, for example, he sat down or stood up, how do I do this?
The return of Ross! Just in time for my quarantine!
He’s back!
