i have learned a TON from your tutorials. i am a novice at after effects but wanted to learn animation as quickly as possible, and you made that possible! so thank you sir!!
You really do explain things so well. This is the first time of me using After Effect and all the other tutorials that I've looked for on youtube. None of them explain as well as you.
Yea keep them coming. Your how to do animation for beginners help on the animation and then the turning head help do the finishing touch on my school assignment. The only trouble that I'm having right now is keeping the rotation of the head at the end.
Hey Ross, its just an awesome tutorial. I have been looking something which can make 2d look like 3d in AE and here I got it.Thank you for this exciting tutorial
How did you manage to make the skull look so good, it is a great tutorial, the round shape I got it but what to do with more complex shapes? is it playing with mask or more liquify?
Cool tutorial thanks for the good work, but I'm having a problem with my after effects software when I want to use the puppet pin tool is says unspecified drawing error, what can I do please help me out.
You are funny and teach well =) Thank you fo the tutorials! btw would it be possible for you to show us how you did that bear turn in the end of the 1st tutorial?
excellent man, your jokes remind me of stephen merchant : ) Had a question...If i wanted to make the character turn sideways to walk somewhere or w.e can I use this rig? Or does that entail drawing up new character sketches in different views from scratch ?
thank you for the tutorial! I love the manner in which you pass it => any chance of you sharing the brush you made the bear with? it's texture is amazing
Ok. I need to see more of that bear because it is the single most adorable thing I have ever seen. Is there another video with him in it? If there is, I would like the link. Seriously. I love that thing.
Hi Ross, I'm not familiar with AE although I use it from time to time, animating in AE is really new to me. Your other tutorial helped me a lot so big THANKS. However, I'd like to ask you a question. Is it possible if for example I want to change a rather complex character from side view to front view in AE? Yes, I can draw it out in traditional animation but in AE then? Thanks again. :)
Hey Ross! Amazing tutorial. It's been my first time using this program and I've ended up with really good results. But I have a question... How do you save it or publish it? How do you do make a loop of it? I've only managed to get a Render that lasts for one second. I don't know how to make the loop! Please and thank you!
I hope you don't mind me asking, but what do you use to record your voice for your animations? I seem to pick up a lot of static when I record which is a pain in the arse - how do you get around that?
Hello there. I rather like the tutorial Ross, but I wonder. Do you have a solution for this kind of thing whilst doing keyframe anims on eyebrows and lipsynch? Cheers
Hey, where do you draw your characters? Can you suggest some vector graphic editor where you can create layers for AE like in photoshop? P.S. Thanks for tutorial, they are really useful ;)
iiLucy Okay. So you must learn Photoshop now. CS5 is the version he uses. He also uses Bamboo. He sometimes uses the pen tool in PS to draw. You can get into that.
+Hardik Lakhalani An easy way to do this is to duplicate the ears (one pair above the head and one below it). You can then set up an expression to change the opacities of the layers from 100 to 0 or vice versa using a check box.
You are a god among insects.
Seriously. Best tutorials online. Ever.
These tutorials are brilliant!

I did the same and it worked but continuous movement is abrupt and looking weird.
Please could you do a tutorial on Drawing characters? Yours look amazingly smooth.
You have to learn more advanced Photoshop. Also you must have a drawing tablet, how do you draw with a mouse? xD
AtomicAstro I have a bamboo tablet ^-^
iiLucy Okay. So you must learn Photoshop now. CS5 is the version he uses. He also uses Bamboo. He sometimes uses the pen tool in PS to draw. You can get into that.

Can We animate Layer Order? Simply or by tweaking expressions? (Especially For Ears)
+Hardik Lakhalani An easy way to do this is to duplicate the ears (one pair above the head and one below it). You can then set up an expression to change the opacities of the layers from 100 to 0 or vice versa using a check box.
