I love Samana! Playa Rincon has five shades of blue and there's a restaurant that makes fresh seafood: fish, conch, octopus 😋 I also love to go to Playa Fronton which has exotic cliffs and Los Haitises has Taino writings in the cave. I will definitely visit that restaurant next time! Thanks for sharing 😍

Former african/american slaves that were living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania settled in Samana around the 1880s. Many of them, including the Georges (George last name) dominicanized their last names, for example: George to Jorge. Most dominicans with the last name "Jorge" are descendent of the Georges and are not living throughout the country not just in Samana.

Till this day, you have so many descendants that still speak English. The Dictator Trujillo forbid them from speaking the English language so they went underground
Your daughter is so cute. I’m planning on early retirement in DR within the next 2 years. I have 2 boys ages 10 and 12. Do you send your daughter to an international school. I have a house in La Vega and don’t seem to find an international school near by. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you, however she doesn't attend a international school here. She attends online school in the US.

El Cayo Restaurant has the best fried fish I've had in the DR.. better than Boca Chica, Better then Maimon...Samana is nice. It's just needs a real super market. The malecon is live at night on the weekends too. Good food trucks.
What a time to tell me now about the freid fish now that I'm gone... 😂. I'm kidding. My husband said the same thing about the supermarket. He loves Samana but it needs a Supermercado Nacional. He said he's not living in any city without a Nacional🤣😂
Bahia Principe Luxury Samana is it closed? We tried to make reservations, it's saying it's closed to Dec
It didn't look closed when we were there but then again we didn't go on the property. We stayed on the outside. I did see people going into the property but didn't pay attention if it was workers or guest.

If you don’t mind me asking, do you normally speak to your daughter in English or Spanish? I always think it’s great when a kid has parents that speak multiple languages.
When her and I talk it's typically in Spanish but her Dad speaks to her in English.

Maybe as a private nurse. But Dominicans typically don't put their family members in nursing homes. There maybe some here but I'm not aware of.

That is Playa El RIncon in Samana. I can read. There is also a Playa Rincon in Las Galeras too. So I'm right.
