Ohh yeah you definitely want to use reparative products on that section otherwise you’ll get a lot of breakage from damage.

Yes! I would just purchase a clarifying shampoo. A clarifying shampoo is going to clean your hair better than a regular shampoo to allow the treatment to penetrate better.

Ive done 2 rebondings in 2 years and now hairs are too freezy i need something to put on my hair plus i lost my straightened hairs
A keratin treatment isn’t a rebounding treatment. It just helps tame frizz and will usually last 3-5 months depending on the brand. Maybe you got a Japanese straightening treatment which actually changes your hair texture.
If you’re looking for a product to use at home, I love the Color wow dream coat for taming frizz. If you’re wanting something a little more permanent than a Keratin would be great!
Im going crazy you named 3 diferente types of the GK Keratine, I canot finde the curly one. I only see the best online.
One question does the best Keratine decrease volume?❤
They have different variations depending on what you’re looking for. The Best is their original/ most popular, they have one for curly hair, and one for resistant hair. If you go on their website it should all be listed under Treatments.
I would say it decreases some volume but you won’t end up with flat hair once you shampoo it. You can still do a big bouncy blowout or curl your hair.
Hey, I'm a guy with shoulder-length wavy hair. I'm considering getting a keratin treatment to remove the frizz and tangles from my hair. Would you recommend it? I've heard that keratin treatments can damage the hair.
Hi! If you have frizz and want to get rid of it I’d definitely recommend it!! Keratin can be damaging if you over use it just like using too much protein. I do my keratin treatments 2x per year.

Thank you love! 🥰 Yes and no. If you’re blonde then you won’t notice a difference. If you have any other colored hair I would suggest doing your keratin treatment first then your color a few days later. I did my keratin after my color one time and it faded about 1 level.
I have been coloring for decades and use all the GK products. Your color will be perfect. Use their GK Shampoo and GK Conditioner to preserve your color and your hair will love it.

When you blow dry and iron is there a lot of smoke and/or smell?
I don’t get any smoke. With The Best I noticed a light smell but nothing over powering. The resistance version (you can’t wash your hair for 2 days) I noticed more of a scent (not over powering but slightly stronger than the Best. I didn’t get smoke with this one either.
Don’t quote me but I think the reason these don’t smoke is bc they are vegan so they don’t contain formaldehyde or any other strong chemicals. Typically it’s the formaldehyde that caused the smoke which is why a stylist might give you a shield or towel when they are doing your hair to limit your inhalation of the chemicals.
what other keratin brands have you tried before? is GK keratin better than nutree professional pro keratin?
I’ve tried most of the professional in salon treatments such as Brazilian Blowout, Schwarzkopf, Cezanne, Kerasilk, etc. I haven’t tried the one you mentioned. It looks like you can only buy on Amazon and I normally don’t buy any beauty from Amazon. What’s been your experience with it? How long did it last? I’d love to know more!
I know it’s not the products fault but I’ve seen when keratin kills curl patterns. It’s good to get the education to know what the product can actually do
It definitely loosens the curl depending on the intensity.
how long does it last
I do mine twice a year. I also only wash my hair twice a week but if you wash your hair a lot more it may not last as long.
i have this Keratin but for some reason it didn't work last time I tried it, and my hair is wavy and never had a problem with Keeatin before. Any suggestions?

@alliray6 hmm I’m not sure! It could be several things..
1. Make sure your really clarifying your hair when you shampoo
2. Make sure your saturating the hair
3. If your hair is course or thick you may want to try their “curly” or “ resistant” formula
4. Make sure when flat ironing you go over each section several times.
5. Making sure to process it the right amount of time. I let mine process for 60 mins with my hair
Was actually going to buy this product until i saw in the comments how keratin can damage the hair im searching for the best product that does no damage and fixes damaged hair im happy i did my research before buying
Your hair is made up of keratin so while you’re right it can damaged it but only when you overdue it. I use this treatment twice a year. Almost anything can damage your hair. When hair is damaged, people will reach for products with protein but if you over due the protein it can make your hair feel worse (dry, brittle, etc). It’s all about using products correctly.
Yeah i didnt know this until now i think i found the correct item for my hair i will give it a try expensive to but but its marked as 2024 best product to fixing hair so i will try it if i find it is not good wont buy it again and il look into natural items for repairing the hair they will be something out there to repair and get hair growing its just trying and finding things thanks for letting me know keratin can damage the hair i never knew that until now il be more careful in future @JeniferLarson

Thank you i hipe i do too ive been searching for years my hair has been damage for 5 years and its been hard trying to find the correct one for my hair ive heard alot about this product ive bought i will give it a try if it dont help i will then find a natural herb for my hair i always reseach before i buy incase its the wrong product for my hair hopfully i can get mt hair revived and growing healthy again nothing worse than having coarse hair and damage that seems to never get better even hair dressers doesn't work I've cut my hair shorter and I still have the same problem everything it grows the split ends just get bigger I have new hair growth fly aways that drives me mad too but I've tried and spent so much money trying to find the best item I will try this if it dont work im not really sure what will but maybe something natural might help the problem and thank you again @JeniferLarson
I would look into getting a shampoo and conditioner from Kerastase. It’s lightweight but will help with the damage. Also I would HIGHLY recommend getting K18. It’ll begin to heal your hair much quicker than any other product. You’ll notice results after 1 use. But keep in mind, damaged hair takes time to repair. Make sure you keep up with haircuts too.
