After the update, Tchouameni is one of my favorites to use. Great defensively and can do a little of everything. Honestly though, the Leipzig midfield might be my favorite in the game. Szobozlai is great, but I love what Nkunku brings going forward, Tyler Adams and Haidara are solid all around, and Konrad Laimer is one of my favorites to use. I'm a sucker for mobile defensive midfielders, so of course I love Laimer. Another one of my go to purchases is Wilmar Barrios. He is a great defensive specialist to pair with a more attacking option in the middle, and, unless I have the best squad in the league, I prefer getting specialists who are elite at certain actions instead of do everything players. It just helps me play the big teams on more equal footing
I think you need to cover the personality of the players, specifically their consistency, important matches and professionalism seem to be underrated in importance
Rodrigo de Paul is amazing. I only used him on a save with atlético and wasnt that good in the first season, but after it he was Just amazing as an atacking playmaker in midfield
Great video. Hands down the best midfielder I've had in FM22 would have to be Nicolo Rovella. In a squad with Bellingham and Barella, he has been outperforming both of them, for 2 seasons straight. Great as a deep lying playmaker.
Used Yunas Musah. A bit of a gem from Valencia for less than 10 mil and has 8+ in all stats starting out. Play him as an Advanced Playmaker cause of his vision and his dribbling. MOTM vs Bayern and destroyed Kimmich in the midfield. Even injured him which meant Bayern dropped points more.
what else did you do with musah? like training wise, etc? using him currently in a southampton save (first season), and he seems pretty useless, constant shots from outside the box into row z, seems better defensively than attackingly for me.
I played musah as box to box midfielder and over the 2 years his match ratings were 7.2ish plus scored and assisted really well ,15-20 goal contributions
I think my favourite three is : 1. Jude Bellingham 2. Ilaix Moriba 3. Eduardo Camavinga - takes some time to develop, but one he does , either in Carrilero or later on in Deep laying Playmaker in support. Great. And in 2029 I have a Brazilian that I picked up for £14.5 from the Brazilian team - Servulo(18 - now he is 22) . I don't know if you get him in your save. Great video

Manu Kone is really underrated. Great BBM midfielder for my Newcastle save with great potential. Will eventually be a solid squad player with a great attitude.
I play a 32221 (attacking wing backs,2 central mid and 2 shadow strikers). I have taken Reading to the champions league atm. I have a Aaron Ramsey of villa and he is beast as a shadow striker and Alfie Devine as a DLP he is just a metronome

Set him in a midfield where he is the only playmaker, like a dm as an anchor/half back, a 8 as a btb/cm support and JWP as an advanced playmaker on attack, or roaming playmaker. The match engine will naturally look for him as the ball carrier/playmaker if you play from behind.
I dont think there was a single player who was rated worse in FM22 than Dominik Szoboszlai. I realize that it's partially due to how he is utilized IRL but his real life metrics, especially his pressing numbers, are so off the charts that it's obscene how low his defensive attributes are rated. Most of them are below 10 whereas they should be around a 13-15 at the start of the game. They also nerfed the hell out of him in comparison to FM20 and FM21.
barrella got 25 goals 20 assists in one season for me and never went under 25 g/a in 5 years. best CM i’ve used, funnily enough John McGinn is rather ridiculous too

I miss bringing Lovro Majer from Dinamo Zagreb in last FMs, he always played great for me. For big money SMS and Luis Alberto from Lazio would be my choice.

Ruben Neves is an absolute monster on the Xbox version 33 apps 5 goals 18 assists in 1st season from dlp
Szoboszlai is the best CM I’ve ever used. Once had 25 Goals and 30 Assists in one season as a Central Midfielder on Attack.
Depends which league, in Premier League atleast for me he is not really good

6 for me - make sure he’s on set pieces and away you go. I managed to win the ballon d’Or with him in FM21 playing as a DLP

Just personal experience- I had him in the beta save at Leicester and he wasn’t very good (we weren’t very good). Agreed he turns out superb though
