i am lucky enough to own 2 x of these magnificent creatures. Lollie is a 4.5 year old male, hand reared and extremely friendly. Tyrion is a rescue bird found at a foot of a tree and we took it in about a year ago. He is doing really well and we decided to keep him as he was very young and we feared he would not be able to find food for himself.
Keep doing what you are doing, get a bit of honey and mix it with some Passwell complete lorikeet food and they'll continue to come for years !

What brand of honey do they like. Only a tiny dot of honey should be added as it is not good for them.

The rainbow lorikeets love apples and grapes. We feed them thinly sliced apple and remove the core as seeds are poisonous.

Dear / You have to keep away the apple seeds before serving the apple to the parrots, apple seeds kill the small and large parrot, beware of apple seeds

I was In Wollongong NSW. A couple of them used to hang out on the metal hand rail so one day I put out some honey mixed with water then I went back inside. They saw me put it out and they wandered around the bowl of honey/water then once they tried it they came back everyday. I would put out apple pieces here and there and I earned their trust over a couple of months. Used to get dozens of them at a time.
