Crazy clean 1958 Gibson Les Paul Sunburst

- Incredibly clean 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard Sunburst - the holy grail of vintage guitars. This Burst has been in Europe since over 35 years and remained unplayed in collections since then. The guitar is in all original condition except it seems the pickup covers have been off a long time ago. The original jackplate has been repaired but other than that nothing has been done. It's basically unplayed, there are one or two frets that show minor signs of wear but all other little dings and dongs are from handling the guitar - the is no belt buckle wear or worn off finish at all. The it shows some light figuring and finish has faded to a beautiful light "Ice Tea" hue. Very hard to find one that clean especially with a history in Europe! Scary clean for a 58. Never saw pickups cover and pole pieces that new.

Back in the late 70s my friend got a 58 sunburst from another friend of mine, it had a Bigsgy on he paid three thousand for it which I thought was crazy. He took the Bigsby off and put the stop tail piece back on it. It has three holes from it and he said those holes cost him three thousand when he got, it's not pristine but it's the real deal, He still has it and it is worth a lot even with the three holes
One of those that sat, snug in it's case, remaining pristine. So rare...

Its a bit weird to see this guitar that clean .whoever buy it need to check inside out all parts if original.wow.unless it was time wraped and forgotten since 1958.🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤🎸❤🎸❤❤
There are a few clean ones out there and you can be sure that it‘s been inspected in depth

Slash doesn't own the cleanest '58 sunburst, nor does he own the first one. He actually owns number 2, as number 1 (several serial numbers ahead of Slash's) was sold by Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville back in 2016. It was an even cleaner example with almost no wear and no fading to speak of. JD Simo demoed it for Carter Vintage and you can find the video here on RUclips if you're interested.

I have an R8 from 2014, lemon burst VOS. Mine was a bit cheaper than this one 🤔
The best playing vintage guitars are worn out. The clean ones may not have been that good so not played so much…IMHO
