I got accepted to 3 programs, including Boston University and University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. I have been following your content for a while and your positive experience at U of I helped me make my decision. I am now an Illini, and I start classes next month. 😉
Big respect!! I was about to apply to Gies in 2020 and would've been done with it, if not hit by the divorce, which lasted for 4 years. Now, as I'm free, with new skills/experience and cash, I am hoping to get my mba this time, at 45!! 😂 Help me god 😊
@@RichardWalls Being in the program allowed me to get a new job when I was around half way. My goals were really to expand my knowledge, get more accreditation and expand my network, which is fantastic particularly as I'm based in Asia, I've had the opportunity to meet classmates in the country i'm based but also in other countries too. It has also allowed me to consider moving to Singapore if the opportunity arises as the University is on the countries fairly small list of desired institutions as my previous institutions in the UK and Hong Kong are not.
Going to WGU for my MBA, mainly for the cost and time. I’m currently working in the cyber field, Im in the 6 figure range, I want to go higher but looking to go into strictly management (project management). Thank you for this video
Hey Richard, I love your videos as they are insightful. It helped me decide as an industry Scientist to venture into an Online Global MBA to which I am currently taking right now at AIM-PH and UWA.
Graduting today for professional evening program at ncsu, took 4 years while worming full time. Was closer to $45,000 not as cheao but I got a lot of networking and coue certifications out of it. Lots of different options out there! Already saw a decent salaray boost for me from it.
Attending Bellevue University while finishing my bachelors in Health Management Services as my school is partnered with Bellevue and having a 4+1 along with 33% tuition reduction for attending. This MBA is 39 credited hours with 9 cohort. Assuming this isn’t the most optimal, however I plan on going past to the Ph.D. Did some time in the military, so I hope it all evens out
Hey there! Random guy on the internet here I'm not sure what Richard's opinion is on the matter, but I think you could get an MBA from WGU and get a big bang for your buck. The school is accredited and you will get through it faster. However, I think one WGU's major disadvantages is their lack of resources when it comes to networking, which is a huge part of the MBA experience. Even Richard explains in another video how even though he did his degree online, the University of Illinois at U-C provided him with a ton of resources to network. I don't think WGU offers that because they are simply not set up that way. Their bread and butter is getting you through school fast and inexpensively. I know close people who went this route and I can tell you that I have more networking resources with an undergrad at a traditional university then them with an MBA at WGU.
This is really good to know. I am am considering Gies. I am just not sure what I want to do yet. I have a Masters already which is a MSW (Master of Social Work). From research a MBA seems to be the best option for me considering I want to get more into the business world of things in healthcare. I just don't want to spend a lot of money doing it because work experince matters more. However, I noticed that I can stack a IMSM into the MBA and have 50% completion of credits for the same price and you get two degrees? Is therer a catch 22 with this? I don't have a business background and worry the math will be a challenge. Any advice would help. @@federicoleguizamon7000
I think WGU is a good option, but ROI would not quite be the same. As Federico mentioned, I do have a video on WGU MBA. I'd say UIUC's network of alumni is stronger and the university's reputation is a big differentiator.

Which one did you take BU?
Welcome to the fighting Illini Fam!
@@JPE_DRAEB No, I chose UIUC. Initially, I really wanted to go to Boston University, but I feel like Illinois was the best choice.
@@thefreedmapplication6995Thank you! I am halfway through the program, so excited to finish it up.
About to start my online MBA at UIC - super thankful for this insight !

Any opinion about online MBA from University of Illinois - Springfield and University of Southern Indiana
I’m considering SMU online MBA. Should I go ahead and apply and see how it goes or go for other online MBA with less tuition?
What is your thoughts on WGU for an MBA? Will it have a similar ROI do you think?

What do you think of Penn State MBA?
Is it better than the one of University of Boston?
Why is it called iMBA, does it appear in the diploma?
Perhaps the i is for internet since it is online.
Hi Richard how are you?
what was graduation like?
